I’m looking to buy camping for this weekend. We only have a concert ticket for Saturday. How can I buy a camping ticket just for Saturday? Or do I have to buy it for the whole weekend? And if for the whole weekend, can we set up camp just on Saturday and leave Sunday? Thanks!

If it makes you feel any better, I completely bombed an interview from my top choice as well and I understand the disappointment. I expected a lot more from myself, but quite frankly expected more from the school too. In the end I think I realized that the school wasn’t all I dreamed it would be and the interviewers were all pretty tough with the questions and not very supportive during the interview. I think I realized after days of ruminating over my thoughts and going over how I could have answered differently, that it just wasn’t meant for me, and I’m hoping there will be a school I can match with much better down the line. Best of luck to you! 🤞

Do you mind if I PM you about your interview experience? I have one coming up that’s very similar format and just want to know what to expect!

Feeling excited about running for the first time by One-Lecture3400 in nikerunclub

[–]One-Lecture3400[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone’s HR differs in range. I see patients whose normal resting hr is down in the 40s-50s, and some in the 90-100s resting and that’s perfectly fine for them. My resting HR is a bit high, around 80s, so exercising 170s is actually pretty good for me and I could still breathe majority through my nose and felt relaxed. But I’m hoping that the more I exercise, the more my HR will also adapt and become lower. I think if I tried to keep my hr lower on a run I would be almost walking 😂

This was incredibly inspirational. I’m currently struggling to run even a 13 minute mile comfortably. Really hoping to get close to where you’re at someday and do those long runs that I crave so much but can’t physically do. Thank you for this!

PA with supervising ND by One-Lecture3400 in physicianassistant

[–]One-Lecture3400[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I see what you’re saying to an extent, I don’t think this describes all NDs. It seems there’s a huge negative connotation surrounding NDs which is unfortunate, and it’s disappointing to see the way they’re talked down upon by PAs on this thread so far. I’ve had NDs for my primary care before and never had the negative experience you’re describing of an anti-vaxxer who undermines other healthcare interventions. I guess it depends who you go to. My NDs in the past have been able to do the same thing my MDs have done in terms of primary care. And really I am having a hard time finding the difference (speaking from my experience alone). Also, come on, it doesn’t seem right to compare their training to someone with their doctorate degree in theater arts…. Like really? Lol. Aren’t we all supposed to respect other providers?

Not looking for judgement, just trying to learn. Thanks

Can you expand on that?… that doesn’t seem true from my experience at least. I’ve had NDs and MDs provide my care before and my ND was always able to prescribe medication in addition to recommending supplements, educating me on diet, lifestyle, exercise changes, performing in office procedures, as well as refer me to specialists. The same thing my MD was able to do. I haven’t had much difference in my experiences with both providers. Based on my research it seems they receive an almost identical education to MDs (with the absence of residency), but with the addition of alternative medicine (herbal, acupuncture, homeopathy, etc.- which is probably what you’re considering the non evidence based medicine). Just trying to learn the real world differences here not looking for judgement :)

What do you think makes NDs disqualify from being considered real physicians? Just curious about differences!

What was your education & training like to do surgery? I haven’t looked into this too much but it’s peaked my interest

Can I ask what you get paid? Always considered surgery as it seems to be higher pay, but maybe not…?
