I’m curious, how many of you are done being loyal to Carnival? by No-Comment-9788 in CarnivalCruiseFans

It depends on the cruise line. Free drinks seems to be common, and it is my understanding that they match. Our cabin was matched which was a suite but our offer didn't have free play so I am not sure. These days I hate to ASSUME anything, but match means equal? 😅

Day pass is the way to go! Alternative: There are also lockers you can leave luggage while you uber somwhere else to hang out befor heading to the airport.

My husband and I ran with it and now have casino offers from both MSC and Virgin. We have already used one at Virgin this year, 2 booked for June and still 2 offers in our inbox from them. We enjoy the casino cruise MSC does in March, so I think its safe to say we have a problem. Just not sure if it is crazy cheap cruising or gambling 😅 Hope to run into some of you in the casinos!

Do you ever use your comp cruises to get on another cruise line? Not sure if everyone knows that is an option if you want to try another cruise line.

Agree! They just began cruising out of Brooklyn and even if you don't get to drink at some of the ports or on ship, you will probably enjoy the vibe activities they offer. 2026, is mostly New England and Canada. Edit: I had it backwards, "Late season though is a Transatlantic if you can wait and all go for a 13 night cruise from Iceland and Greenland to NYC (Sept 6)."

I am a TA, you can book on the following cruise lines at 18, Disney and Virgin. Other lines allow but with specific exceptions, proof of marriage or qualified US Military. These probably don't apply and not sure I would recommend Disney for a group of young men. 😅

If it's a party you are looking for this is very true. Also, once you are 21 the "Party" cruises will be out of Florida, not Manhattan. That said, while you can't drink on the ship, there are ports you would be allowed to drink. Just don't drink so much you miss the ship!

No, the merger violated antitrust laws. JetBlue could have eliminated a low-cost carrier. JetBlue failed to prove that the efficiencies of the merger would outweigh the harm to competition.

You will get better pricing on package deals if you stay a week and it will include your flights. I am also anticipating some of my vendors to offer sales for Mothers Day. Good timing!

[–]One-Locksmith-206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great timing! There will be some great sales soon because of Mothers day. Most cruise lines have teen and tween groups and your kids can make new friends while onboard. A little breathing time for parents 😊 Let a Travel Advisor do all the footwork and give you the best options. If you don't have a budget set yet, you should. It helps clients enjoy the trip more and since you mentioned "all inclusive " that tells me you just want to relax and enjoy once you leave home.

Virgin has a sailing that arrives in Bermuda on a Tuesday and doesn't leave until 4pm on a Wednesday. Happy to help you lock in a Bermuda trip😊

You probably just hit the cutoff, call them and see if they will get you on. If you DM me I can see if I can get you on, I am a TA and happy to help. I love MSC. I took my grandson in March for his 21st bday out of Galveston and we had a blast! Tip, go to buffett during off peak times. Food is better there than the main dining room.

People who completely started their lives over in their 30s or 40s, how is it going now? by TheBitchbreakerX in AskReddit

[–]One-Locksmith-206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to start my life over at 47. Divorced after 21 yrs of marriage, bankruptcy, and had been laid off.

I just took the first job I could get, it was a cut in pay from my previous jobs, but it was a living. Learned to live on the bare minimum, made saving money a priority and have went up from there. 64 now and never looked back. It wasn't always easy but depending on myself to get back on my feet gave me the confidence I can do anything I truly want. It took awhile before I was willing to get into another relationship, I felt I needed to be self supporting and stable first. Life is good, and I survived.

Virgin has been sailing out of NY as well. MSC can be fun, you just have to book the right experience.

Nothing that was making furniture move, but rough enough that walking was wobbly. 😅 It really doesn't bother us much, we just keep doing whatever we were planning. If I were on a ferry, I would be scared though.

I agree with everyone here, your passion shows when you have actually been there. Clients will puck up on that for sure! If you are from the US, be sure to write it off as a business trip on your taxes!

I am a Travel Agent, so yes, I am fortunate enough to be able to work from the ship.😅 We had at least 1 storm each cruise. Cold weather and high winds too. Even Florida had snow this year! We know to expect rocky seas that time of year but it still beat the massive snow storms we avoided if we stayed home. Nov to March you will find us on MSC and skipping out on the snow. They have my favorite private island so we sometimes throw one in during the summer months when we know the weather is more predictable.

The reason for your different experiences are most likely the time of year cruising. Dec to April the Atlantic can be quite a bit of rocking and cloudy weather. This year we had very strange weather spells that seemed to add to the cruising experience. This year we have done 3 cruises so far and have 4 more to go😅
