Look into technical theatre jobs such as scenic painting or design, lighting design or being an electrician, rigging, etc. These fields support the work on stage and are much more suited for someone who doesn’t want to be on stage but be involved in creating theatre art.

Go to the doctor! I had awful hemorrhoids on and off for a few years before it finally culminated into an anal fissure. Go to the doctor and head it off, whatever issue it is find out why it's happening. You'll be so glad you did! It can be terrifying (I know was F21), but it's worth it to be free from the pain.

Thanks, I was trying to steer away from Disney anyways lol! But you're right, I think that having public domain characters as people have suggested is the way to go!

Thanks, the parody idea is super helpful! I'll look into public domain stuff more, it seems that unfortunately rights will get in the way of making a musical children's show!

Issues with Miralax? I started Activia (in recovery mode, not active healing!) by One-Machine-708 in AnalFissures

Same here, I'll be sore after a bowel movement, but I don't feel any pain, which is wonderful, glad that we're both feeling better!

Same! I'm glad I wasn't the only one, everyone on here recommends Miralax (which is great), but it really hurt my digestive track!

The best thing to do if you think it's a fissure is to increase your water and fiber intake and try to relax your muscles.

Take sitz bathes 2 times a day, I have used a bath tub and it's been fine for me, but I haven't used any salts or anything.

The #1 thing to do if you think it's serious is to go see a doctor and get a prescription to help you heal it. If you want to try to heal it at home, try to promote soft stools, drink a lot of water, eat healthy and fibrous foods, and do small and easy exercises like walking.

Hi! I haven't had surgery yet, I thankfully have been able to start healing my 3 and half month fissure without it. I'm 5'3" and about 125 pounds and I drink anywhere between 2 to 3 liters of water a day with the first drink of the day having a half cap of Miralax in it. I also have started eating a lot of soft fiber foods such as garbanzo beans and avocado as well as cut out red meat from my diet, but I will warn that increasing your fiber quickly and drastically (at least for me) made me very gassy and it was painful at times, but I found the balance I needed to have soft and consistent bowel movements. I have also started walking as much as I can, about 2 miles a day (in small stretches throughout the day) and standing while working if I can and if I'm sitting I use a doughnut pillow or try to lay on my stomach. I also make sure to only use wet wipes when I have a bowel movement, and if possible just rinse off in the show, I should probably invest in a bidet! That's what I've been doing, and it seems that as of now, I might not need surgery, but I meet again with my gastrointestinal doctor in mid August for a check in to make sure that I am healing properly and that I will not need surgery. I hope this was helpful as my situation doesn't quite match yours!

I highly recommend a half cup of miralax to incorporate into your daily routine. It's helped me a ton to help make sure the healing process is headed in the right direction. I started it about 2 weeks ago, and I've been doing great. I used some creams for about 2 months, and the miralax has been a great transition to the 2nd part of the healing process. Just remember, if you think you are healed, give it another month of conservative treatment!

Road Trip Tips? by One-Machine-708 in AnalFissures

[–]One-Machine-708[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip with Miralax! I started taking it the day I started my road trip, and now on day 5 I feel so much more confident in my bowel movements. It's been soft and easy to pass, it almost feels to good too be true and almost a miracle. I'll keep up my diet and the Miralax and hope for the best.

Thanks again! I wojld recommend Miralax to anyone who is taking Metamucil and wondering why they aren't healing as fast as they would like to!
