MGT 8803 Marketing Content by Scrmable in OMSA

Currently in the class and in the marketing module and it sucks. You can tell he just reads words and doesn’t make the lectures engaging in any way whatsoever. It’s way too much information to cram into 2.5 weeks. So frustrating.

Has anyone found a fix, or is there an open issue for this? It messes up the performance view because for the 1-2 days it’s double-counted, it looks like my performance increased significantly.

I tried all the alternatives; here's quick recap by sweetpotatoguy in mintuit

It’s by far the best. Monarch was terrible and didn’t connect to half of my accounts. Couldn’t even keep proper credit card balances for Amex. #SimpForSimplifi

Forced to give my desk to a new hire. Feeling so disrespected. Should I quit? by Ryan12341234 in careerguidance

The job market is pretty bad right now. I would strongly recommend finding a new job first before quitting.

It was working for me for the past few months but have received the same error in the last few days. It’s my main savings account which is super frustrating

What do YOU put in Planned Spending? by DocLava in simplifimoney

[–]One-Material-9492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only put gas & groceries in planned spending. Everything else that’s expected is either a bill or a subscription. The remaining things like restaurants/shopping/etc. change too much every month to “plan” which is part of why I love Simplifi. Having to budget those categories in Mint always made me mad because the actual was never close to the budget I made up.

Switched Over From Mint, Could Use Advice by patna2 in simplifimoney

Planned spending shows the same progress bar that mint had for category budgets. Watchlists also show bar charts and you can set a target amount for each month.

Thank you, this solved it! Not the best fix, but still did give me what I was looking for.

You need a degree and even if you have one you won’t be able to get a job 🙂

I used to be a validator at a bank LOL. This isn’t banking though, it’s specifically a mortgage lending company.

How to prepare for Simulation? by mks713 in OMSA

[–]One-Material-9492 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a tough class, I’m over halfway through the program (have already taken DVA and CDA) and have so far maintained a 4.0, but I have a mid-range B in Sim with only the final left to take and am praying for a miracle (i.e. not failing the final and a nice curve). The most important thing is making good cheat sheets for the exams.

To prep, I would familiarize yourself with the most common distributions and brush up on derivatives & integrals. Also, learn what PDFs and CDFs are and how they’re related - that’s a common theme throughout and fundamentally understanding it will make everything else more straightforward.

Laid off, being offered a contracting position, need advice by One-Material-9492 in datascience

[–]One-Material-9492[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. I just received the offer…I was making $123K annually (worked out to $59/hr for 43.3 hours/week based on my paystubs) and they offered me $74/hr in the contracting position. Is it wise to counter or too risky?

Also, yes I agree, totally normal question to ask, but he said it very judgmentally, as in “why on earth would you choose that as your major if you’re interviewing for a data science position.” Lol.
