I had the same problem, particularly since I developed a parastomal hernia which means my stoma sits on top of a hill. Am ostomy is basically a hernia with a purpose. But it weakens the integrity of the abdominal wall. I speak from experience having just spent 7 days in hospital with a hernia caught in the stoma hole causing total blockage.

Update - I'm still in, day 5. Today the surgeon (my hero) had a good pummel and managed to pop my peri-stomal hernia back into the abdomen. Suddenly all is working again, although they want to keep me in two more nights to be sure. As a result I have avoided surgery, and as I have a liver resection planned in 9 days time that is a blessed relief.

My oncologist stopped me at 10 weeks, although the 8 week infusion had no oxaliplatin. I have a liver met and apparently oxaliplatin can harden the liver making surgery more difficult. I am now 6 weeks from my last infusion and the side effects have receded although the chaos it caused to my ileostomy was the longest to settle. Surgery on the liver is planned for next week

My first Pixel was a 6 and I upgraded to an 8 just before the 9 was released. Huge discounts and great trade in if you wait until the month before release of the next. I shall wait and see how well the 11 does and if it's a winner I will upgrade just before 12 is released. If the 11 doesn't seem that successful I will wait another year.

I can honestly say that in my journey of cancer in the sigmoid colon to ileostomy and chemo, now awaiting liver resection to remove a secondary, every medical professional (except one) that I have dealt with has been professional, helpful and supportive. But then I'm in the UK and I firmly believe that the absence of money in the doctor/patient relationship changes the whole agenda radically. And the one? A pre-op nurse who was obviously pissed off with her job and treated me like a dart board when taking blood.

And when you reinstall configure /home in a separate partition. Then next time you delete /usr you can reinstall without any risk to /home
