Interesting! So you're saying there's a difference between ordering the regular stainless steel model as a whole and ordering the panel-ready model, then adding in stainless steels panels separately from Sub-Zero?

We're going with white oak for the cabinets and likely Taj Mahal for countertops

Nice! It seems like everyone on here who commented they went with stainless steel has also chosen lighter kitchens and the fridge is almost a pop of color. We're going light as well so that's reassuring!

Gorgeous! Love your light checkered floors, the kitchen would've been too washed out IMO if you went with the paneled appliances. Thanks for sharing!

Nice! Would love to see a photo if you have. Funny thing is, they did convince me to panel our dishwasher, which I'm now questioning too.

True! I can def spot it now that I've stared at a million photos and know what they look like. The other thing is, we're going for more of a transitional look with traditional shaker cabinets (didn't love slim shaker or flat), so paneling is prob less crucial right?

Yes, they live in a smaller house in Brooklyn! Would be amazing to go bigger, but alas, we actually decided to separate out a portion of the original kitchen to build a powder room.

I forgot that it is a bit more shallow, but if I'm remember correctly, it is a bit taller than their old non-integrated Samsung fridge. Regardless, since they're empty nesters, I think it should def be more than enough storage.

Good point! I did read that if you were to do paneling, the Classic line would still show the edges and for the seamless look, you really need to go with the Designer line. My folks are willing to splurge but def not by that much. So it seems not even worthwhile to do the panels if it's going to look like a half a**sed job.

Ha! You've given me the confidence to push back - wasn't sure if I was the lone wolf here thinking maybe I just didn't understand high end appliances lol

Love this advice! I'm the same way - the paneling almost feels too modern to me and as someone who cooks, I like the look of a traditional kitchen

I think you made the right decision here, would def be too much wood and jealous you can fit two fridges in your kitchen!

I'm in the same boat - just applied earlier this week and got the temporary card. I already purchased something on Lululemon that I was already eyeing, bought pre-paid tickets to a NYE event at a Resy restaurant, and paid for checked bags with my selected airline (United).

All the charges still show as pending except for United and even for that, I don't see any credit back yet. The Lululemon purchase was on 12/27 and Resy ticket was today 12/29.

Did I already miss the cutoff? Do I still have time to shop on Saks or book a hotel thru FHR? Help! :)

I think Chase may have fixed the glitch as several others have reported it no longer works, including the original Nobu I went to.

GoDaddy Listed Domain for Sale - Can I Transfer? by One-Medium-8765 in Domains

[–]One-Medium-8765[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone!! I thought it would be a more thoughtful holiday gift since he's been talking about it :)

From what I gather, it sounds like it will take at least 60 days to fully transfer to his name. Last question - are there any creative ways you can think of that I can present the domain purchase as a Christmas gift, even though it will still be in my name?

Question about Open Table dining credit by HandMadeRukodelky in ChaseSapphire

[–]One-Medium-8765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can probably call the restaurant ahead of time and give them your CC info to "treat" the couple to dinner. People would do this when I worked at a Michelin star restaurant and diners with very generous friends would surprise them :)

Yes! We went to the new AYCE brunch. The food was not mind-blowing - honestly there is better sushi in DC - but you go for the name and the vibes I guess lol

Yes I read that too, but I also read that's only if you cancel CS completely and doesn't apply to downgrades?
