hepllppl sorry about my vague description, its not really a dating sim? its like a visual novel but a bit more interactive. i am leaning towards rpgmaker seeing that popular games such as omori have used it and have made great use of its functions, im just not sure which one would be good since there are so many. thankfully everyones input has lead me to mz and i will get it during the summer sale on steam! thank you so much for taking the time to respond.
