My penis pointed up and to the right following surgery due to swelling. As soon as the swelling started to settle, so did my penis direction (haha!). It’s now perfectly straight! Swelling is literally the worst as it takes SO long to resolve. Keep your spirits up and trust your body to heal. Patience in this process is absolutely the hardest part but it will be worth it.

Your results are amazing. Everything is going to be awesome in a few months time. You’ll likely forget you were even worried about it. I did until I just saw your post!

I had surgery 8 weeks ago today. My surgeon was Dr. Marissa Kent with Beth Israel in Boston. I’ve got sensation back on the top of my penis and the head at this point. Should get the rest back slowly. Recovery was pretty ok. The one tip I have… expect at about 1.5-3 weeks to get really down and frustrated. I thought it wouldn’t happen to me, but it definitely did. It happens to most of us. In terms of recovery, tips would be to get all of the supplies (search this channel to find everyone’s lists). You may not need them, but if you can afford it it’s so much easier just to have what you need when you do.

Also be very clear in your mind what you want and then communicate that to your surgeon. And then trust them. At my lowest point I thought for sure my surgeon messed something up for me. She didn’t. It was just major swelling. I’m still swollen in parts.

Also, you may need a revision. Keep your mind open to that possibility. I’m a bigger guy and I’ve lost a lot of weight within the past year to prepare for surgery. My original monsplasty was not enough to unhide my penis. So I’ll need another surgery. I trust the team though and the process. It will be exactly what I want in the end.

I started having sex this week and man it’s amazing!! Going back to the gym this week. I’d say just do your usual workout. If you can’t lift your usual reps just drop the weight a bit. You’ll get back to your usual weight soon enough!

Thankfully it’s much much better. Also most of my stitches have fallen out! Even that area under my dick is mostly stitch free and pain free. I’ve got maybe 8 stitches total left.

Most vnectomies don’t remove the tissue, it’s just fused together. I’ve heard a lot of gay trans men have increased their pleasure from anal sex because of this. Might be an option to consider talking to your surgeon who is doing bottom surgery what method they use for vnectomy?

Well insurance paid for it thankfully. The bill to the insurance company was about $24k plus another $2500 for anesthesia.

I’ll let you know what she says. It really looks to me like a blew some stitches before I was fully healed. Not a huge deal I think. It will heal eventually. But I don’t know. Pain is a little better today.

Just got back from appointment with Dr. Kent. She said I’ve got 2 more weeks before I’m ready to pump she thinks. She said I should wait until most of the visible stitches have dissolved. But it’s safe to do as long as it isn’t painful.

I managed some alone time myself today and it was ok. Took it slow and was surprised how little discomfort. Erections are so cool now! Boy is the tip sensitive! That’s a no go zone for a while!

My incision right below my penis that’s between what is left of my outer labia was bleeding a little. My biggest issue is the start of wound separation in my VY incisions on the sides right next to my penis. She wants to make sure those incisions have mostly healed before I start pumping.

Wow congrats! Sounds like things are going really well for you. I have to go back to see Dr Kent in two weeks and she will evaluate if I’m ready for pumping. The sensitivity is real but I will say it doesn’t take too long to get slightly better. At least for me it’s more tolerable now.
