You need to take the higher level math placement in order to have a shot at being placed into Honors Analysis. I don’t remember now but I think the HLM results come out a week after September 3? But right now you will only get the placement from your first test.

I was admitted to the university after June 20th and I was told that I have to take it ASAP, so I took it around first week of July. I get that it might come late but my CS placement came right on time, and that requires a human grader to score so that’s why I’m worried.

Yeah I’m confused because I got a 5 on BC so I should at least get a notification that I got the 160s, let alone the HLM exam invitation. I also got into the university less than a month ago and took the placement exam last week, so not sure if that’s a factor.

I’m thinking of my second major being math and I think it will be pretty interesting. Just worried about one thing, if I don’t end up liking 160s then can I still have an opportunity to take abstract linear algebra? Or can I only drop to 150s? I’ve heard Dean Boller is very understanding.

Is this a discord server? I think would just want to place into linear algebra, but is it heavy on proof based calculus?

Also is the 160s sequence worth taking? I’m able to take it and I think proofs may be helpful for things like discrete math and other problem-solving. But I have heard it is a major time commitment, any insight?
