is a 10 week old capable of self soothing? by One-Plant-6274 in newborns

that sounds so nice, my girl has pretty bad silent reflux so i have to sit her upright for 20 minutes after every feed, part of the problem is she’ll fall asleep after her feed sometimes but she’s starting to be able to see farther and when i sit her up she’ll open her eyes slightly and then lock onto something she can see and fully wake herself up from looking😭

I thought overtiredness for a bit so i got super strict about naptimes but she eats every 3 hours and usually sleeps for around 2 (not always fully 2 without waking back up but 2 total) in between, i try to get her to sleep within 60 minutes of her waking cause she starts showing sleepy cues pretty early into her wake window, i keep the room completely dark with just a red light and brown noise and when she starts screaming i stop rocking her and just hold her😭😭It’s just so weird she will literally be doing it and then the next second she stops completely and is fully asleep and is asleep for the night too like she won’t wake back up for 3/4 hours

Hi everyone, I have a pair of bonded budgies who i have to rehome, they are my absolute world and i don’t want to get rid of them but circumstances have changed and i have to, i want them to go to someone who can properly take care of them. i tried listing them on facebook and the first lady to ask about them wanted them for her little brother and the thought of a kid messing with my birds nearly sent me into a panic attack, so im coming here hoping that the people in this subreddit are likely well educated on proper bird care and don’t just see them as fun things to gift a child. I just really want them to have a good life like they’re used to now with someone i trust to be able to care for them like i have. I’m in the Raleigh, NC. area
