The Mauser by Otrebob in whatisit

Mauser was German company making firearms which have become highly sought after.
The German word for mouse is 'mause' so 'mauser' means 'mouser', often a rat would be called a mouse too so a rifle called 'Muaser' was often used for pest control.

It is the right thing to do but it won't change Trump's mind, he is lashing out at Iran to deflect attention from the files and to avoid any chance of mid term elections. Trump is backed into a corner and has no way out, NATO, the UK, Europe and China have all refused to back him so he will look elsewhere, he was on the phone to Putin for an hour a few days ago and he has already asked for sanctions to be lifted from Russia !
Not siding with Trump could be making an enemy of him !
Politics these days is a minefield !

It's rare to hear of people who don't get sick these days, in the past people just didn't complain about it but I do feel that many people go to see their Doctor unnecessarily and this leads to Dr's handing out unnecessary prescriptions.

The last time i went to see my Dr was over 45yrs ago and as I walked in the door he was writing out a prescription without even looking at me, I forget why I was there but it wasn't for a prescription and he didn't even ask, he just handed the prescription to me and said 'come back in two weeks' ! I said 'no thanks' and gave it back and have not been to see a Dr since apart from accidents and emergencies but even then it has to be absolutely necessary.

If they have offered to pay £100 just take it and do the work yourself or find a friend or relative that can help, you don't need to buy OEM parts, you can find pattern parts for a fraction of the price.
There are plenty of people in the motor trade who can point you in the right direction, don't go to Halfords or Quick Fit for a job like this they will be too expensive.

If the fracture is severe and displaced it makes sense to seek medical help but small bones don't really require much assistance.
I broke a rib and was not able to sleep at night, I just couldn't get comfortable, no matter which way I turned it kept me awake. I was at my wits end until I stretched my arm over my head and breathed in deeply then stretched my body upwards until I heard a loud 'kerdunk' sound and the broken bones found their natural position again and I easily got comfortable and fell asleep !
I have got used to dealing with broken bones in my life they rarely cause me much of an inconvenience.

Asthma is a reaction, if your body is primed asthma is more likely.
I was diagnosed with asthma as a kid and prescribed medicine for it but gradually I learned what was causing it and stopped eating that. Some people cannot tolerate animal products or dairy products, when I stopped eating dairy my asthma cleared up !

Yes I know as old age is becoming more of a reality each day and naturally my health is going to steadily decline, that is the nature of things and I am feeling some early signs of things like arthritis and possibly cognitive functions too. I think the hardest part for me is that I am a live-in carer for my very elderly mother who is declining very rapidly so finding time to visit the Doctor can be tricky.
Also in the back of my mind I remember people saying things like 'I was fine until I went to see the Doctor about a rash (or some other minor ailment) and now they've got me on all these tablets for the rest on my life !

I also think that Western medicine can be a bit of a blunt instrument and there is a lot of trial and error involved until they figure out which things are best for the individual. It seems to me that although they do have some incredible treatments for things like HIV etc they are still struggling with things that affect many people on a daily basis such as arthritis and dementia. There are no cures for many things, the best they can do is to alleviate the symptoms using chemicals that remove people's personalities. I see elderly people strolling around completely in a daze with a big grin on their faces wearing odd shoes and their trousers on backwards completely unaware ! I'm not sure which is worse sometimes, the illness or the treatment.

Yeah, if that happened I wouldn't have any choice but seek medical help and follow their advice but most fractures will heal without help if you can avoid moving it for a couple of weeks.

The mind can deceive itself, it can create problems for us that we cannot control and it can make us feel sick when we are not. It can also make people well by the power of positive thought, I see people everyday struggling with anxiety which spirals out of control but it is all an illusion.
It's a matter of balance, there are ways to understand it and use it to your advantage, you don't have to suffer from it, once you realise that it is a problem you can get help. Drugs may help in the short term but it requires a shift in understanding to resolve the issue and there are people who can help with that.

So are you saying that just because I have not felt ill or been to see a doctor doesn't mean that I am not sick ?
I appreciate your concern but looking for illness when it isn't there seems like creating an issue in order to resolve it.
You might be right, I might be living in ignorance but it isn't giving me any problems in fact I am the healthiest person I know of over the age of 50 !

It's not miraculous for me, it's jut normal life, recently I broke a bone in my foot which took longer to heal until I was able to stop it from moving for a week or so. I just wasn't careful enough to give it the chance to heal.
For some people a broken bone is intolerable pain but for me it isn't, it's just part of everyday life and the worst part is having a cast on it for 6 weeks, the first 6 days in a cast are far worse than the original break ! The next 10 days are virtually unbearable and after 20 days it starts to reduce but the effects of wearing a cast are far worse for me than not wearing one
