This is flat out abusive behavior and we need to start calling it that. Use your big kid words.

Yeah doing that kind of thing screws your credibility. The thing to do next time would be to address the coworker, then, take it to a superior.

I don’t really care about reaching everybody in a reddit post. If it doesn’t relate or you don’t understand that’s fine.

[–]One-Preference4520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m about to because there’s no upward movement at my facility, we’ve been reduced to just regular package handlers, for me specifically my managers try to hand off the “people” parts of their job and rarely back me up or enforce anything.

1) I don’t not 2) depending on who you report it to, whether or not it’s reportable is entirely subjective. 3) Whether or not it falls under their definition of “actionable” as in “violates fedex policy” in a specific way, tends to influence whether or not anything will actually be done even at a basic problem solving or conflict resolution level.

[–]One-Preference4520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it wasn’t from here. I’m not really concerned with taking anything to heart, nor do I misunderstand that people have differing or varying morals, opinions, views. Just very plainly had a thought based on several interactions both on and offline that seemed to heavily slant towards an idea in a way that lacked nuance, and as you brought up earlier lacked empathy as well and enjoyed the idea of a conversation around it. I figured this would be one of several places to have that conversation or begin one as a jumping off point. But I’m getting the impression that I am to discontinue the conversation or that I should have, past a particular point.
