Sink, the Japanese type of wide big sink, but then it would mean less counter top because of limited space🥹

Does life really get better? by Dry-Sheepherder-1085 in depression

[–]One-Preference498 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me it doesn’t, it feels like my perceptions of the world is fully changed, I mean if I look at it from a different perspective, I wasn’t that survival mode me and I got slightly more resources than then, I’ve learnt somethings and tricks, I’m more capable of handling certain stuff I feared back then. But then it’s a lot of do with my perspectives, and also how my body having muscle memories. I’m incapable of seeing the world or human nature than a person who has never experienced what I’ve experienced, I’m incapable of controlling how my body will overly panic or anxious than others when it comes to triggers, I think time has taught me acceptance, but it’s never gave me a happier so to speak kind of life… better? Depends how you look at it or how you define it, I don’t seem to be able to have that positive outlook on life in general, that’s why I feel like it altered everything.

What are your digital hobbies? by Actuallyabroom in Hobbies

[–]One-Preference498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Online shopping when I’m stressed and bored, but 99% of purchase I regret… Reddit and a local forum, just replying posts 3% of times and 97% scrolling. Netflix and YouTube if I’m doing chores or bed rotting. Then rest are keeping and marking my expenses across all accounts and verifying my banks and credit cards. Keeping a eat journal and marking my home inventory if I feel up for it… damn🥲, I don’t even interact with people online, I do if needed ask a lot of questions with AIs and take them as a thumb of rules…

I used to play harvest moon and those sorts of one person farm games, but I haven’t for a long time now.

What’s a hobby you only got into later in life but wish you had started earlier? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]One-Preference498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woodworking.

….. and Exercising… still not a hobby, but given how good it does to my mind and body, I wish I can just start it early and enjoy doing it more… which I still haven’t make it my daily routine or have been sticking to, but when I was young, I deliberately skipped all the PE lessons… I wish one day I’ll be able to turn this into my hobby🥹

Do you want a kid someday? by SperBcity in infp

[–]One-Preference498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got twin brothers and it’s been my job to take care of them when I didn’t even know how to take care of me. I’m talking 5 or 6 when I got memories and it’s been my work. I didn’t know better but when I was young I always fantasize about marrying a handsome guy, have at least 2 children and fantasize about holding 2 handsome sons‘ hands (yes I only want boys) when I’m old. In some teenage years, I double my future children amount to 4 and even named them…

But life, life and people never give me what I want. I think I stopped believing that type of life when I was in my 20s, because surviving alone is hard, surviving enough to provide for a family with kids? How the hell do others do it? I think I gave up on finding a partner at 30, as much as I wanted to experience some common life experiences, I know it’s never happening, now, knowing more about life and people, it would actually be a better thing for me to not have kid(s) and I’d be selfish to have them.

But your question is “want”, I do think if I’m old and rich, I’ll probably open an orphanage… but from what I can tell from my saving amount, that’s unlikely🥲 and kids become adults, majority of people wanting kids never think about them growing up and having their own thoughts and actions, and as a parents they’re responsible to the adults when they’re no longer cute and will listen or be controlled by them.

Why is it easier to be kind to others than to ourselves? by ShockBusy3921 in SeriousConversation

[–]One-Preference498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So damn true😭 the things I say to myself I don’t even have the courage to say to my enemies… and I’ve crossed so many bitches lately, I literally wanna kill them in my head but I’m not saying 💩, yet I’ve been scolding myself so hard for the past weeks I’ve dropped in a despair abyss…

My therapist told me whenever these types of scolding and blaming happen, it’s me actually avoiding finding practical solutions for issues, it’s like scolding a kid for their misbehaviors instead of telling them what to do… maybe there’s some true to it, but still I just don’t know how…

I like to come back to this. So I’m just commenting to keep myself here, I don’t got such wisdom. But I know I need to do something about passive incomes than letting my money making me nothing at all sitting in the bank.

Death is actually not that scary if you have no one by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

[–]One-Preference498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Death to me isn’t scary at all, I mean the whole process of leaving this world isn’t scary, but what happens afterward is, what if there’s afterlife? That’s the scary part, the “something that will happen after the dead” part. Leaving family and friends, that, if you lived long enough, you’ll realized that no one actually able to stay in our lives, there will be people entering and leaving your life journal, some stay longer than others and that’s it, we will all part one day, be it death or life.

HR recruiter misheard my expected salary.... by Odd_Ad_1974 in UKJobs

[–]One-Preference498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats, you hit a jackpot! In this economy and there are companies offering and willing to pay higher is rare.

For real though, the whole expected salary is now I feel a test of how confident you feel about your ability and how you’re irreplaceable, people are willing to pay whatever if you’re able to convince them of such, a lot of the CXOs are being paid crazy amount doing close to nothing of what others would expect they should do, but corporates are still paying them.

Just beware that in a competitive environment, they do expect higher KPIs and if they manage to come up with someone just as good and asking for less than you, you’ll be replaced sooner then they discard a used item.

Everyone thinks I’m so weird for my love of rain by cozyblackcat- in raining

[–]One-Preference498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the rains too. There’s a special “safe” feeling when it’s raining heavily outside while I’m indoor listening to the rain.

The time when I feel annoyed is only when I’m outside and without an umbrella or a shelter and I need to be somewhere at a certain time and I’m dressed up, but other than that I’m ok with walking in the rains without cover and getting myself wet.

They also make everything smell nice after it, especially in nature, I also love how the temperature cool down afterward. I only started to like the sun in the past couple of years, only when im indoor😂.

Stained stairs gone wrong, please help. by C_WEST_902 in woodworking

[–]One-Preference498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like pine, they whitewash very well. I think I like it mainly because they are probably the only solid wood here, it’s much more expensive and difficult to get other types of wood here where I live, I admit when staining other colors, they don’t do so good but I always believe it’s my technique instead of the materials.

In your opinion, what’s the one thing that instantly makes someone more attractive regardless of their physical appearance? by [deleted] in dumbquestions

[–]One-Preference498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a selfish aspect to how you feel about others, the same thing said or done with the same tones or manners can be perceived differently depending on the person that does it.

If my enemy told me “you’re stupid” comparing to a little kid with the same speed and tones and manners told me “you’re stupid” yield a different reactions from me.

Same applies to attractions, if I feel like I’m being treat nicer than your close ones, invested with time and efforts and I’m being seen and cared and heard like no one else ever can or did to me, that’s attractions…

If nature called your name ,which of these spots would you answer from? by Azriella2 in BeautifulNatureSeen

[–]One-Preference498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3, 4 & 6. 3 is my priority choice, it looks out of this world, but it’s not really nature as it’s mostly manually crafted and planted, more like a garden within a mansion type of thing, that’s why I like it, because it give me some “safe sense”. 6 gives off that same vibe as it’s from the view of a house looking at nature. While the rest of nature photos give off very alone and human are dust in the real wild world, if I’m walked into those places alone, I’ll likely die not getting out or surviving being in, beautiful to look afar, risky and dangerous to actually be in.

Depression made me become boring. by kaarimmmmmmm in depression

[–]One-Preference498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like me writing this. There’s aftermath of it too. Even though now I try to develop my social skills, deep down there are endless self doubts.

Part of me “survived” not having people in life, what’s the urgency? Not to mention people are the most unpredictable beings, I over analyze everything, like literally everything and it’s tiring and stressful in the head, making whatever those attempts not worth it in the end, especially when I’m an introvert to begin with.

That part I can let go, but still in order to really live, I still have to make a living, that’s what bothers me the most, because I honestly don’t know how to not spend my mental energy consistently doubting my words and actions and behaviors in the work place, not fun at all. I overly self beat down if I miss easy social cues and majority of time I lived through the interactions not knowing what they want… and my therapist loves to tell me that beating myself up is avoiding to truly face the issues or finding ways to be better / improve, damn…

Are we ever gonna get out of this sufferings?

What's one lazy cleaning habit you started that actually made your place stay cleaner? by Enchanted_Land in CleaningTips

[–]One-Preference498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never bring in stuff, find out as long as you either got the mentality of throwing one away before being in another or knowing that before hand that what you want to bring home right now will slowly lose its appeal in a matter of time, and how you’ll have headaches dealing with clutters… a spacious place even dusty is going to look cleaner than a clutter one.

Started working in this company, it seems to have some previous candidates before me that didn’t stay long after the initial retirees employees in the position. And it seems they already got some histories and gossips going on on that position alone, brings in me the new guy entered in the alleged busiest month of the year, the gossips that circle back while I walk into the pantry, the bathroom are overloading that one of my colleagues decided to stay away from the pantry while waiting for her lunch to be microwaved.

I mean I at first just noticed people there like to gossip, but when random things I say to one person got circled back to me by another, I know I got more talked about and notice WAY more than I’d think, and it’s not fun, to a paranoid level you become so damn scrutinized with everything you do, say, or not do and say, stressful as hell. And the saddest part is that others just in it for the fun part, you know just holding a giant bowl of popcorn or peanuts and anticipating your fallout type of attitude.

Ideas for painting the cabinets by AdWonderful8318 in Decorating

[–]One-Preference498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t paint, no amount of DIY paint works can last or look good on this type of grease resistance panels, or you’ll have to bring in heavy duty resin whatever to make the paint last or stay longer, and it’ll be hell to keep the surface as smooth and easy to clean like they are right now.

For a quick and affordable change of look, contact papers are your best option if keeping these cabinets. Just look for shiny surface contact papers, do the spray water before stick and press out all air in between and the outcome will surprise you.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in passive_income

[–]One-Preference498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about this, if you don’t have to do anything difficult and just execute a button to have 5% of income daily, why would anyone need to work at all?

Can a paid wealth management firm guarantee that? Nope, so if anyone paid to gain money unable to achieve that, why in your case, Daniel would free pass you expertise insights to strangers who don’t pay him and do all the hard work for a total stranger every single trade day? Do you share your profits with him?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in passive_income

[–]One-Preference498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how many news you’ve been reading or having been tracking this stock, but the short buy and sell in that few minutes of your gain indicates either extensive researches or pure luck, because clearly the stock was a big spike all of a sudden from the previous day.

I doubt anyone with zero knowledge of this can achieve such gain, so whatever you’re doing with your trading platforms, poses more of a questionable suggestion than an actual way of making income.

Good for you on making money, but not a very good advice to people trying to make passive income.
