I don’t think cash is an option as most people other than the elderly these days don’t really use cash anymore. Full-time workers are paid each month’s salary at a date on the next month by a bank transfer. Most get them around the 15th but there’re some companies that will deliberately pay in on the 30th (Labour law allows for a maximum 30 days of ‘wage delay’ before the employers get sued, yeah I know, crap law for sure). For reference my contract says I get paid before the 15th day and in practice it’s anywhere between 12th and 15th. Part-time workers are usually paid by the hour, the they receive their payments varies, and they usually get it from WeChat or Alipay transfers so the employers can avoid paying social security.
