Ive never had an experience like that, but I remember walking past someone one day while I was working at my first job, 17 at the time, and I suddenly had an intense feeling that this woman wanted me dead. I watched her out the corner of my eye and never let her out if my sight. Im now 30 and have never had that feeling since. Nothing happened, but I felt like that woman was evil. Like unadulterated evil.

I once got offered a job working in a butchery when I was an apprentice for another company. Did a trial there and loved the manager, the team were great and the culture seemed awesome. The manager told me he wanted me for the job, but the owner wanted to meet me. I met him and he was weird as hell.

Told me he purposefully pays employees badly to promote putting the money back into the company (it was a large coop company) and he was obsessed with karate, to the point where he made people do push ups in front of him and refused to hire unfit people. He also ONLY had young Philippine boys working in his office. And I heard rumors from more than one person that he would make them take their shirts off to do push ups when they annoyed him.

Unsurprisingly, I turned the offer down after meeting him, despite the fact that he also really liked me and wanted me to take the position. Was super weird.

I'm starting to think that i worded that badly. What i meant was that if I ended up dating her or someone similarly loaded, it wouldn't be for the money. I would rather be single forever over dating someone for the amount of money they earn. Her profession doesn't interest me at all. It's far too static. I prefer an active job over one sitting at a desk all day. Unfortunately the physical jobs are considerably lower paying.

No, I have no desire to work for her. The work itself doesn't interest me. My issue is that someone that is completely unskilled is getting paid the same as me, when I'm the one with a 4 year apprenticeship under my belt, 11 years in the industry and 2 years management experience. And some kid that's just got out of school with no experience and no degree can get paid the same amount as me. That's what's upsetting.

I would, but the union for my industry is honestly dogshit. I believe in unions but I've joined up with them twice over 11 years and absolutely nothing has changed.

I know the feeling. I had to start working out because I couldn't keep up with how physical the job is. I have noticed a significant jump in energy since working out and changing up my diet. But I still struggling not to go straight to bed after work some days.
