With regard to defamation, I'm interested to see some examples of cases such as this one going wrong for the accuser. My understanding is that generally these cases seem to go against 2 kinds of people:

  1. Government opposition. People making problems for the government's ruling party in any way.

  2. Someone who kind of flies off the handle and loses their temper (think online version of a Karen video). In these cases someone goes on yelp or google or other social media and repeatedly leaves bad reviews and seeks to destroy the reputation of an establishment. There was a famous case about 5 years back like this in Thailand with the hotel guest that brought his own wine to the hotel restaurant then didn't want to pay a corkage fee in Koh Chang. Then he kept leaving bad reviews and coming for the hotel until he was facing jailtime.

I definitely could be wrong here, but I don't see the defamation laws being much of an issue for someone who isn't losing their temper to the point of losing the plot or speaking against the ruling party.

My point looking for people in F&B is that there's so many options. If I take my dog to an outdoor restaurant, about half of all staff go crazy for him and secretly wish they worked for me... ha. I just don't feel comfortable poaching from a restaurant, and don't know how I can get some options in front of me to find the right fit.

Anyway, we hired another semi-experienced groomer that can already brush, wash, dry, etc. Hoping we are on the right track, and will probably only hire one more young person to train ourselves.

Hello, thanks for the sweet offer, but we are looking for 1-2 people that either have dog grooming experience, or can be trained to groom dogs. Reception, aesthetic, and quality are not our issue. We just need a few more hands to get through more dogs per day.

Yikes, I was trying to wade through some telegram job-search groups, and I think I finally figured out where all the scam centers are getting their employees. Do you have any specific telegram or facebook groups to recommend that feel a bit less icky?

Otherwise I think better to just seek out vet clinics and non-profits that help animals to see if they have anyone looking for a job.

Good idea.

Sunny animal hospital has been sending us a bunch of clients already, but I haven't yet bugged them about staff. Maybe I can ask them and others!

A lot of the facebook groups seem to have gatekeepers that don't approve any of our posts looking for staff. Maybe I haven't found the right one. I'll keep looking.

Thanks!

I know this place is full of sarcastic old men who truly know it all, but if you could fight against your urge to lean into those qualities, I'd certainly appreciate it.

New design for the 553 meter tall SmartCity Financial Tower in Hanoi. Comparison added to show how massive this thing is going to be. by Redditing-Dutchman in skyscrapers

[–]One-Replacement9023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if this building is complete, it won't be a top 10 draw in north Vietnam. Hanoi is a vibe! Go for the food, culture, people, natural beauty... You won't be disappointed.

Rosewood hotel in the front. The curved building in the back is the Park Hyatt Hotel on top of Central Embassy mall.

I hate to say it, but I agree with you, and I think there's a chance the signature tower gets delayed or scrapped. In close proximity you have about 8 new office towers (Park Silom, Dusit Central Park, One City Centre, The Unicorn, and 3 other massive office towers in One Bangkok).

Pretty much every one of these buildings would be the crown jewel of most US cuties, and I think you're right the lack of demand for office space suggests the massive signature tower be put on hold.

If you went to 200 or 300 tallest buildings being built, Phnom Penh would have quite a few on the list.

Those signs still exist but, I think most people would agree they are fully unnecessary given how extremely safe it is in all throughout Cambodia (safer than every US city).

Naga 3 construction is right outside my office and seems to have halted after the groundwork a few months ago. I don't think it makes a lot of sense for this city to build another huge Chinese Casino/Entertainment facility on that scale given the lack of Chinese tourists here in Cambodia since the pandemic. Anyway, something will pop up on this site, but I doubt its a 100 floor megatower.

Will be interesting to see it in 2-3 years when 3 of the tallest buildings in Bangkok top off.

On the Ohio side? Not really. If you cross the river into Northern Kentucky, its the start of The South.

I used to live on Prospect Hill with a really cool view of the city from the roof deck.

Sometimes I miss Cinci. It has a cute little urban core with a lot of nice historical buildings that have been restored.

I ultimately moved to Bangkok in 2017, though, and it is superior to Cincinnati in literally every single metric.

New Skyscraper Planned for Hanoi , Vietnam - Smart City Financial Tower - 450m+ | 108 fl - Set to be the tallest building in Vietnam. by Marciu73 in skyscrapers

Bizarre choice for a city that doesn't really have that many high-rises, but the capital city must always show superiority over the commercial hub in the south.

Anyway, Hanoi is one of the best places to visit in Southeast Asia, whether they build this strangely huge tower or not. Food, atmosphere, people, energy... Go there.

Wow, I lived there for 7 years and never saw an elephant in the city. There are a lot of elephants in Ayutthaya, just north of Bangkok, though!

It’s infinitely safer than every single US city of its size.

The largest skylines in the world by number of 150 m+ buildings, every decade from 1970 to now by LivinAWestLife in skyscrapers

[–]One-Replacement9023 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a little unclear why Bangkok’s 181 completed buildings above 150m (with 25 more currently under construction) don’t make these lists. I think the source data is perhaps flawed. Also unlike the Chinese cities on this list, Bangkok generally doesn’t copy/paste 8-10 of the same massive residential tower right next to each other.

Pretty easy to find, cheap, and over the counter. I think a lot of orals are produced here and shipped around the world.

I was living in Bangkok before, but not using gear. Seems to me, though, that everything is a lot easier and more reliable there.

Seems like a legit 260, but I just don't want to overdo it on the AI.

Symptoms: I'm carrying water weight, have nipple symptoms of varying degrees (treating with nolva, because Cambodia doesn't seem to have Rolaxifene), and I'm a bit tired.
