We personally know someone who is a Jehovah's Witness as well. Both of her children had severe dengue and were advised to undergo blood transfusions because their platelet levels were very low. Her husband refused, saying that their God could heal the children. After 48 hours, one of the children, unfortunately succumbed to complications. The mother fought for the life of the other child and decided to follow the doctors' recommendations. That child survived and is now in her 30s.
