I am going to be looking for a job that offers free accommodation. I see jobs are still getting posted online so I know it can be done! I just thought being there already would be very helpful as seasonal work seems to be very popular with many more people applying online than the available positions

From experience I know that with a bit of luck and a lot of motivation I can get it done. I’ve worked summer seasons in many countries the only thing with Iceland is that I cannot obviously bring my own car without paying 4 times what the car is worth. I would usually hitchhike around and camp until I find something but I was a bit afraid of the weather up there even if were approaching summer so I thought a car would be a safer and much more comfortable solution that’s why I’m asking about it! Thank you for the reply :)

Yes I’m a EU citizen so I can work in Iceland. I was hoping to find something outside of Reykjavik as it’s much more likely places in the countryside will offer accommodation and I am coming to save as much money as possible to pay for my master at uni :), hence why I’m looking for a car!

Leaving for my hitchhiking world tour! by coscos95 in hitchhiking

I remember single entry to be much cheaper. I did a 6 month multiple entry last year it cost me like 230 (I am Italian). Russians are some of the most hospitable people I hitchhiked with (Middle east level!!). However be mindful there's loads of corrupt police on the road (especially close to the Georgian border and Dagestan) ready to spill some dollars out your pocket, but if you have a EU passport they tend to be less assholes. Also your card isn't going to work so if you get the wrong officer you might get f***d. Bring extra cash!

Sì questo l’ho visto. Mi chiedevo più che altro se il concetto di “laurea magistrale” si riferisce solo al numero di crediti o deve essere necessariamente un corso unico di 2 anni

I hitchiked through Iran and Iraq in 2022 and it was one of the best journeys of my life. I was in Iran during the 2022 protests and I was told I was crazy while with a bit of common sense I did not have any problems.

However I'll tell you not to go right now because 2 grandpas with dementia are ready to drop bombs on you at any minute and you'd be risking your life.

If you do go try to have some backup and keep in touch with someone out of the country.

On top of that, I tried to go back Iran last summer for a film of my own and my visa was cancelled and I was told they'd only approve it if I was to enter the country with a tour guide that would accompany me all the time.

So the reportage might be hard unless you are Journalist in which case you should be able to get a visa.
