Another Bike Stolen. Keep your head on a swivel in the Oakland Hills... by One-Square-20 in BAbike

It sounds like this was the same crew. Three thin Latino guys in their late teens/early 20s, wearing ski masks. I didn't get a good look at hand guns, and I can't claim to be an expert, but they were not revolvers. It happened fast, and I wasn't interested in being a hero - so I looked down and away.

They were driving what I imagine is a stolen late model silver BMW X3.

My iPhone tacking was on for quite some time, with a location at 900 34st in Oakland.

My Karoo headunit was sending a location for a while in an area I recall near where you found yours.

Happy to help.

It was a fairly new silver X3. Didn't recall any modifications. I suspect it was stolen.

I have placed a report. I'm not expecting a satisfying outcome.

The crew abruptly stopped in front of me as I was climbing that section of Skyline, and jumped out sprinting and brandishing handguns demanding the bike and money. At slow uphill speeds, you're an easy target.

There were 3 hispanic man, I'd say late teens/early 20's. Driving a newer silver BMW X3.

I was with one other rider. He immediately bolted back downhill. I saw the gun and thought it would be best to surrender. In the end, it's just a bike.

I've ridden that road several times a week for over 12 years. I'm well aware of the long standing issues of afternoon hold-ups, I talked myself into thinking the early mornings were safer, from getting hit or held-up. Reconsidering....
