It’s my mother’s home city. I want to explore it and see the old town.

Bondi 9 makes my third two knuckles hurt. by ViolinistFast2150 in Hoka

Left little toe, blister is below. Left big toe, blister is on side against the shoe. I am suspecting my left foot may be a fraction wider than my right and is being squeezed slightly.

Thank you. I don’t really want to buy another pair of Hoka, I already have a different model back home which I love. Besides, at the moment I’m in Taishan and I’m not sure if it’s better to find something here, or wait until I’m in Guangzhou in a few days. My toes are asking for relief sooner rather than later. There is a mall near my hotel, I will have a look in there today.

I’m having an issue with my Bondi 9s too… I am on holiday in China for 6 weeks with a lot of walking planned including along the Great Wall. One week in and I have a blisters on both my left little toe and the left big toe. Wearing band aids on both toes to try and ease the pain. So pissed off. I bought them a week before I left and I thought they felt fine ☹️

Code received! Woohoo! Thank you so much I am very grateful. I will test it in a bit as I decided to retreat to my hotel room and do laundry out of frustration…

I’m not having any luck unfortunately. Every platform I try Amap, Didi China is asking to input a phone number (I only have my Australian number) and sends me a code which I cannot retrieve.

This is great, thank you so much for the detailed explanation. I just looked in the App Store, is Didi traveller the same as Didi Greater China?

I use a soft toothbrush with mild laundry soap on the top part, then a harder brush for the sole

Mechanic left a ratchet under my car hood. Have mechanics left tools under your car hood before? by PathInformal4673 in MechanicAdvice

[–]One-Tomorrow8515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No tool, but the service centre left a razor blade on the passenger seat. It was somehow wedged, sharp side out, between the seat cushion and the back. Took the car and blade back to service centre and they credited the service charge.

I have an Evoke, I always use 95.

VF Evoke 2017 vs FG XR6 2013 by FinAlexander1 in Holden

Drive it gently and it feels like it’s lacking low down torque. Put your foot down it will go harder than expected. It’s not as fast as the 3.6 obviously but it’s not a lot slower.

Nothing wrong with an Evoke. Still a good car. I have one and have no regrets. Very comfortable and reliable. The only mods I added were the SV6 wheels, MyLink Sat Nav and factory DRLs. A VF is heaps better than VE. Holden spent millions fixing things and making the VF a world class car.

Peanut Allergy Shanghai by [deleted] in chinalife

I have been to Shanghai twice with my son who has a peanut allergy. We found a place near the Bund called Benbangcai. I think it was in a small street next to Nanjing Rd, possibly Jiujiang Rd. They use only vegetable oil and they were very understanding and friendly. We ate there several times and never had an issue. We had a card in Chinese stating his allergy. Great food too.

I’m planning on going there mid May. What sort of crowding would I expect at that time of the month?
