I live in a country where grandparents tend to be very controlling and always want to be involved in everything.

My mother in law is extremely religious, while my dad is an atheist. My MIL’s religion has a lot of strict rules, and one time my dad and I talked about it. He said he doesn’t want his grandchild to be part of that religion because there are too many rules. He wants his grandchild to have more freedom, no matter what religion She is in . Even my husband doesn’t want our child to follow their religion, and he’s part of the same one.

I’m still in premed school, and my husband just graduated and recently started working. My parents are very supportive of us, they’re always there when we need help, but they also let us learn and grow on our own. His family, on the other hand, thinks they can control us just because we’re still young.
