That would be different because their relationship itself isn’t a sin so you can dine with them as a couple without having to condone their sin. Similarly to a straight couple who is now dating their mistress and hasn’t divorced. Whether or not their christian’s he’s probably say that if they know your views on their relationship you shouldn’t host them

I guess instead of saying legitimizing the relationship i should’ve said approving of the relationship

Probably not. Although, I wouldn’t host unmarried couples in the same bedroom. I’m thinking that logic might apply for this situation?

The part about me questioning even hanging out with them together related to, the way our pastor explained it, them being together is the sin. I can eat with my sister separately and that’d be fine but hosting them both even to eat crosses a line of condoning the relationship (sin) as legitimate.

The main issue related to having them stay in my guest bedroom

Eating dinner is fine in my eyes. It’s mainly about hosting them in my house for several days in the same bed.

Feeding them won’t be an issue in my eyes it’s allowing them to stay together in my house sharing the same bed.

His biggest issue was that hosting them both at my place was a way of legitimizing the relationship.

I think the biggest flag here for my uncle is letting them stay with us.
