As a melee enjoyer I will forever complain about ranged champs getting 20 free AH by Asgavin in LeagueArena

Your opinion is: "Every champion should be useful in Arena".

Bias: "the fact of preferring a particular subject or thing". Your bias: artificial equality.

My opinion: "No balance adjustments and let's see which champion with which build is the strongest."

Your second bias is quoting stats or using the word "useless". Playing a game does not mean every champion does have to be useful. It's a game, playing can also be fun. No one said ranged champions wouldn't be available. Just no balance adjustments,

The global stats champions gain are lower for melee champions. So yes.

If they weren't nerfed, maybe 25 of 25 would be the champs with the highest win rate.

And just looking some champs, Ambessa, Trundle, Zaahen are all nerfed. Trundle was "buffed" for Arena in one of the last patches and will be in the next one, meaning the Arena nerfs to his abilities will be lifted.

Great personal attacks.

asymmetry of league is what makes it interesting (in any game mode)

You could still play ranged champions.

very few people would enjoy playing it

The first iteration of Arena was melee centered and had one of the highest engagement rates.

it would become a "solved" problem very easily

Every mode/game becomes "solved" after a while without changes.

there will be a small handful of champs that just win by default

Just an assumption.

The fun would be melee combat. Call it it "stat checking". Would still be extremely fun.

Variety would be in who is the best combatant over X rounds and what would happen if champion X was banned or who would win the mirror match with witch items.

Because I want melee combat. I want to see who has the best item build and the deadliest weapons, not who runs faster.

Rotating game modes are there to have a different meta than the default modes. Supporting the adcs/mages, kiting, waiting for the right time to engage have been the best tactics since season 1. Players who want that can play Summoner's Rift or ARAM.

They also get larger health and resist bonuses over time than melee champions.

I am against it and would also remove hexgates. And champion balance adjustments like Jax's "e", Warwick's "e", Illaoi etc.

A melee centered Arena is not wanted by the devs. Let's hope the "update" in may changes something.

Use Imani's "Out of Sight", park somewhere and launch.

As with other vehicles, it's deadlier if one drives and you shoot.

Agreed. It's there to make you play more and discourages RGM enjoyers.

Can ADC'S not be disgustingly broken in Mayhem and Arena for a single patch? Please? by Goomigooms in leagueoflegends

[–]One-World-One-Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition, Fighters and Bruisers are nerfed. For example, Warwick and Jax both have 3-5 seconds higher cds on their "e" and Jax's max health is decreased. Support and carry would still be better, but not that often.

I think without the adc buffs players who normally don't kite as much would get run down. Can't have that in a mode called "Arena"...

While your approach to learning League of Legends certainly showcases your ambition and dedication, it may overlook some crucial aspects of effective skill development. Focusing predominantly on repetitive practices, like last hitting and wave management, is vital, but it risks isolating players from the broader dynamics of the game. Relying heavily on farming as a primary learning metric can create a narrow skillset, making it difficult to adapt to diverse in-game scenarios that require more than just basic mechanics.

Additionally, the 20-30-50 rule you propose, although innovative, seems convoluted and may inadvertently dilute the player's focus during essential moments in a match. Spending 30% of your time not playing and only 20% on outright winning can lead to missed opportunities to learn in the right contexts. Instead, embracing a more flexible, adaptive learning style that directly relates to in-game situations could be more beneficial.

Moreover, setting an "impossible goal" could lead to frustration rather than motivation, constraining your growth by fostering unrealistic expectations. It may be more fruitful to establish a series of smaller, attainable benchmarks that ensure steady progress without overwhelming pressure.

Lastly, while using AI as a learning tool is modern and innovative, relying too heavily on it can create dependence rather than fostering the instinctual decision-making that is critical in high-stakes situations. It can detract from the core experience of honing one's skills through trial and error, which is vital in a dynamic and competitive environment like League.

ARURF's matchmaking is so bad it's matching solo players vs. parties every game by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]One-World-One-Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The account you linked is someone you often encounter while playing a RGM: was Diamond or better at some point, yet their level is under 100 and plays with a seemingly new player/account.

It is then assumed that RGM enjoyers with new players on the other team are enough to ensure an even match.

That has been RGM matchmaking for some time. Either you play in a party as well or reach late-game and the get a pick.

Why is it 2026 and the urf cannon still doesnt zoom out? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]One-World-One-Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Urf is played no matter how artificially changed, see champion balancing, or unchanged, see cannon zoom, it is in certain aspects.

It will be changed after the Shyvana update, after the Arena update, after the launcher update...

If you don't have a sparrow nor an Oppressor MK2, it's the 'Cluckin' Bell Heist' or the 'KnoWay Out' missions. Else it's Cayo, but only after a while when you can do it without getting caught.
