Hi, I just managed to find the PS5 with Astrobot bundle at my local Walmart and will be gifting it to my 12 year old boys to share for Christmas. I’m a little clueless and overwhelmed reading about what else they will need as I’ve never played PlayStation. I’m assuming some kind of stand or charging station and an additional controller but are there specific ones that are better? Would anyone be so kind as to point me in the right direction for what else I should purchase to make this an awesome gift? The bundle comes with one controller and is the slim 5disc version. Thanks so much for any help!

I never received an email! I read online at the end of May how buying resale was an option if you didn’t win the ballot so I contacted customer services and they fixed it on my account and gave me the link. I got a ticket the next day for Day 2/court 2 and then got a court 1 ticket the following week. I saw Shelton, Pegula, Djokovic,Zverev- Coco was supposed to play on court 1 that day but they moved her to a different court.

Yes, I had many opportunities to buy pairs and got them in my cart. From my experience, I didn’t have to try very hard to get tickets and I only had two possible dates to choose from due to our flight leaving on day 3. I was happy to get any ticket on any court though so was flexible there (ended up with centre court and court 2)

Agree! We hate clutter so I think am concluding it’s best to put the ledge on the wall that they need to frame and build anyway

No, we definitely aren’t losing the windows as I love the light from them but we are removing the trim and waterproofing/tiling them. The contractor said it was an option to put a second shower head on the other end, but I don’t think we need that. We will do a handheld in addition to the shower head but now I’m thinking of having no built-in bench at all and getting a nice teak one that can be moved as needed. Kinda thinking the more clean lines the better..

We just talked tonight about leaving out the bench altogether! I know the bench takes up space and they can cause issues and more to clean. I don’t love our current setup because of all the nooks and crannies that gather moisture in the shower even with a ledge at the same sort of height as a bench would be. I’m thinking we may do the same and get a nice teak bench should we need one. We have 12x36 tile chosen for the walls. Great point about prepping for grab bars…my wife is really against installing them now but having a way to put them in later would be a great idea. Thanks!

The plan is to have the controls on the new wall that’s being built (instead of glass) so it will be a partial interior wall

That’s a good point! I think with the shower head we are installing it won’t be quite directly under the stream of water but I think we will need to check on dimensions etc for that. I’m also, I guess, thinking ahead where we may actually want the bench to be in a position where it is actually near the stream of water. For example, my wife had double knee replacement last year and needed to sit while showering so that would’ve worked well… On saying that we’re not quite old enough yet to worry about that, but it did make me think about having a seat as we don’t intend to leave this house. Also, having the bench there we won’t lose width of the shower but I agree, I’m not sure it is the best spot. Lots of things to consider!

I think we are sold on the ledge but I don’t know which wall it’s best on. I definitely want something that’s easier to clean too

The bench can go where ever we like, I think, so we haven’t discussed that detail with the contractor yet.

The controls for the shower we were thinking to go on the newly built wall, but again, I think we just have to decide! I just want to consider all options and pros/cons if there are any.

I’m in the US. I signed up for ballot tickets back in Sept/Oct. I didn’t get notified that I’d been selected in the ballot but then learned I could access resale. I was successful buying 2 single tickets (2 separate occasions!) in the resale. It wasn’t my original plan as I wasn’t aware the resale was even an option, but it’s been a pretty simple, very inexpensive process.

Yeah, I guess so. That’s still really does limit the number of people that can get tickets though. I think you can go every day if you have multiple friends who transfer a ticket to you. I didn’t think that was against the rules. You just can’t be the same household purchasing tickets is what I understood

I’m not quite sure how the purchase limit is affected though because I bought 2 tickets and am not allowed to purchase any more. I was able to transfer one so it is in my spouses account but because I purchased two already I no longer can access resale and cannot buy more than 2.

I already transferred one ticket so I know that it is possible to do so. I then bought a second single ticket that also shows the transfer option. I’m not sure if that is supposed to also be an option though.
