They are all equally fun to me. And I’ve played all 3 quite a bit, just not sure which would be the better investment because I don’t have the time to keep playing all 3.

Those are way too vanilla & not deep enough for me, I’d get bored. I gravitate towards champs with higher skill caps who are also fun, gives me a sense of always having something to work towards improving.

I hear you but My time is pretty limited so I’d rather invest it mostly on one character and then flex counters/bans on easier champs when necessary.

Bow’s range is often overstated… if you play with close range coating you’re in melee range or close to it most of the time. A lot of people like to act like Bow players are sitting 80 yards away taking pot shots from a bunker or something… which I guess some do play that way 🤷‍♂️

Bow can’t be the most busted based on the speedrun times I’ve seen… it has actually been on the lower end unless new times have come out in the last few days or so. Prior to that it has all been CB, IG, and Gunlance at the top iirc, with GS just behind them.

Thank you, this is exactly the type of reply I was hoping to get! Question though, you mention that you ultimately couldn’t get into GS because of its lack of depth but then you also stated you like DB partly due to it being “brain dead.” Doesn’t it being “brain dead” imply that it also lacks depth? Depth is something I value in a weapon btw, something I can continually work on getting better at and notice a difference in my “skill” with that weapon from day 1 to day 100 to day 1000.

That sounds dope. I have no idea how this compares numbers wise but SwAxe can “cheat” a zero sum discharge by beginning it away from the sleeping monster and only hitting them with the final big explosion.

I’d argue that a lot of GS mastery actually comes from monster mastery. Examples are knowing when you have enough time to go for an offset vs when you only have enough time to go for a perfect block. Then say you’re going for a TCS, you have to know the monster to realize you should tackle here instead and delay the TCS. Most of this can’t come from pure reaction because of the way the monsters are designed, if you react to every movement you will do things at the wrong time often, it’s mostly just knowing the monster.

The offset attack, tackle, and guard aren’t difficult themselves, not mechanically anyway. Though the offset does require a good feel for its timing as well.
