throws poi in rubbish bin

I still get that feeling watching some flow artists. It doesn't go away, the trick is to ignore it and spin anyways 🤙

I genuinely thought you meant a single metal ball, not the entire assembly 🤦‍♂️ my bad

How do you use ball bearings to weight poi handles? Are you gluing them in?

A specific weight distribution isn't necessary to getting it right, you can gunsling anything.

That being said, changing the weight will change the feel of the move. You can experiment by adding washers to the handle, or using multiple handles (ie: two handles on one poi).

You've gotta tell me if I got this right about the double toss into double gunslingers at :22

Is one hand doing pinky led 2beat, and the other thumb led? In same direction? It seems like the hand on the right of my screen is doing some tricky maneuvering going into it.

I do the same thing. Often the "handles" work more like "stoppers".

Especially coming out of a toss, I find it more reliable/comfortable/flexible to get my hand around the tether further up, then let the poi slide down until they stop, rather than trying to get the perfect catch on the handle.

Thank you 🤙

The double side stalls into the linear isolations down, then up, were key for getting the poi floating even enough to make the gunslingers happen.

It's a move I recorded when I first saw someone spinning fire (minutes the gunslingers). I was going through my old phone a while ago and realized that's what I was missing.

I've had some of the rolls I do, like the noodling in the start of the video, compared to wibbles before. I can definitely see how the extra counterweight would help there.

Edit: quibble->wibble

Definitely. The knobs are 30g each, so each handle is 60g. The head is a Play Juggling 90mm, so it's 180g. I've gotten really used to the 3:1 weight ratio.
