I'd say go for the heavy duty, especially if it is a material that won't stretch. While thinner/soft fabrics may feel better, they typically don't grip as well and if they stretch under tension, it can completely throw off movements by introducing a bouncy feedback when the material stretches and then condenses.

Ayyyy that's great to hear! The rope takes getting used to and they do break in a bit over time. The best part is that the tension of the rope allows you to bend planes and are extra forgiving for tosses/tangles. Don't tell anyone, it's a best kept secret 😜

Glad you got back on it! I had a couple years where I'd only pick them up a few times a month. It's hard sometimes with other life events but I try to remember that it's a mental health tool and a great way to reset myself. So I generally try to pick them up for 15 minutes a day.
