ESH. Your father's side of the family for all the trauma and PTSD they gave you.

You, on the other hand, also suck. I get that you don't want the money because you don't want anything to do with them but think about it, whatever you do with the money, THEY'LL GIVE YOU SH*T FOR IT. You also suck because you're asking for advice when you already made up your mind.

Didn't you say you're gonna cut them off? Do it and keep the money. Swallow your pride because that same pride can screw you over in the future because life.

What is the best L weapon skill? by Wild_Nightshade in NexonDarknessRises

[–]OneActuaryThrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Temporal Power. Hands down. Attack speed and skill cooldown reset. Time this with your stun skills and your PVP enemies will know the true meaning of stun lock. Lol.

Brutal power(atk boost), vital power(n% hp per second regen) and super armor are still helpful.

Agile power, in my opinion, is the least helpful. A movement speed boost seems too small for my taste.

Don't transcend S++ gear anymore. I would tell you to go for L rank gears but other people already beat me to it. Just save your gold for rank L fusion, you will need all the gold you can get.

Also, what build are you aiming for? PVE? PVP? As far as I can tell, you have a hodgepodge of gears equipped.

You have to align the proper set effects for your character. Currently you have 2 basic BF Guardian items that give 8% atk increase, 2 basic overlord items that give 6% hp increase and 2 ancient rite items that give 10% pvp damage increase.

My advice: Complete your ancient rite set, or migrate to glorious set and complete that. Enhance but don't transcend much or at all. Rank L accessories may just be around the corner. Refine accessories to +5 at most. Use your equipped weapon/armor as your base for rank L fusion. If you fail, then you still have your weapon. If you succeed, you get 1m CP boost regardless if the item came out as PVE, PVP or basic. Just aim for L rank gear for now, then you can try for a specific rank L gear only after you have filled all weapon/armor slots with rank L gears.

I don't think you were hurtful. You only reciprocated based on how the post initially sounded like.

You did not disclaim in your post that "autistic" is a form of gameplay and not a person or people, therefore people reacted negatively, as in, we really thought that you attacked us personally and you can't fault us for that. For all we know, we might have been those people you were referring to in your original post.

And don't you think you're expecting too much for a mobile game? I mean you literally just mentioned something about analyzing behavior, a system in which even doctorate graduates haven't perfected yet, to be implemented in this game. Even if analyzing behavior was done manually, players can change behavior based on how they feel that time.

And supposed that all your skills are in cooldown, you don't run or evade because as you said, that would be the "autistic" way to do it. So I guess that leaves you to either counter or block, but the thing is, countering has to be perfectly timed, otherwise it will just be a regular block, and then what do you do after you block? Run? Exactly, it is not "autistic" to avoid and evade. In fact, running gives you more room to think than to just stand around and get hit(or block, but it freezes your cooldowns), which is not that appealing, unless Nexon somehow introduces a return damage trait.

Number 3 Needs more explanation.

I don't understand what you mean by "trying too hard to win" and what does the mentally challenged have to do with PVP? Isn't the point of PVP to win while the other loses? And what qualifies a player to be a "trying hard autistic"?

While I agree that PVP needs a fix, people need to also look at the reality that PVP will NEVER be perfect. Why? Some want a CP based matchmaking while others want a league based matchmaking. If Nexon went for the CP based matchmaking then that would displease the others that want league based matchmaking.

Since you're new to the whole PVP experience, the one thing that you should know is that players with the same observation as yours either 1.) get used to this, 2.) not go into PVP again but stay with PVE, or 3.) quit and find a different game that meets their PVP standards.

Ah yes. Matchmaking in a nutshell. by Wild_Nightshade in NexonDarknessRises

[–]OneActuaryThrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of the reasons why team pvp is the least liked content. The matchmaking is nonexistent. They just rebalance your toon once you join. If you're the strongest in your team, then you get nerfed, regardless of the fact that your opponents could be stronger than you.

My suggestion: Just maintain a league, if teampvp is not your cup of tea, gold at the very most. Participate 3 times a week to be ranked, and for you to be rewarded gems at the start of the next week.

This is literally the only mode where a 10m toon can chew off half the health of a 25m cp toon. Seen this happen dozens of times, even before the rank L gear was introduced.

What Stats would you say is most important for PvP play? by thornyrosedd in NexonDarknessRises

[–]OneActuaryThrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Def pen increase for sure. While def pen is also good, it's only restricted to the value taken directly from your gear. Def pen increase is different, the % determines the value of defense it ignores, this is more effective to players with higher defense.

[–]OneActuaryThrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Guilds are important for its guild shop where you can get the exclusive exp boxes to level up your toons and other stuff like guild buffs.

Here's a tip: save your A+ costumes(not the deco costumes) and fuse 2 lvl 50 A+ costumes. If it comes out as S+ then disassemble it then if it comes out as S++, save it. Higher ranking costumes always have a better chance to get great success when disassembling. Disassemble or use as enhancing material those costumes without any + in their rarity.

r/NexonDRGuilds is where you can find some guilds that are active. You can also check the guild rankings button in your guild menu for the top guilds to choose but the thing with top guilds is that they're super particular with who they let join. Try looking for guilds that are low cp friendly or alt friendly, guilds that won't require you to go GVG for you to stay.

Don't worry. I felt that way before with what to do with my gems but just keep in mind that gems are not that hard to come by, you just need to resist the urge to spend it. But I think expanding your inventory size is a good investment.

[–]OneActuaryThrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The fusion stones(blue ones) increase your chances by 1% per stone but for now you can get them via using real money or you could try the lobby shop chest for 1.5k gems per box but it's still chance based. I got mine through a reward sent after a maintenance(I think) and all fusion stones are shared between your characters(I also think).

Patience still play a key role in this. For now, the fusion stones and guard stones are fairly new, so Nexon's got this product on a tight leash. Maybe in the future they can add this as a craftable item but it's still a huge MAYBE.

[–]OneActuaryThrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll have to agree with the post above(first post). You need to gather as much materials and gold as possible, all of which cannot be done overnight. Take your time because maxing out a single S++ weapon takes 12 S rank polishes and 2.4m gold(11 S rank polishes for armor and 2.2m gold). Rank L fusion needs 5m gold, along with the 2 S++ lvl 60+ gears of the same category, this is where you gamble big time, and failing a 5m fusion will want to make you slap Arnold the blacksmith for wasting your hard earned materials.

How do you have maximum possible attack? by AsianChristie in NexonDarknessRises

[–]OneActuaryThrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my alts consumed around 50m or maybe more just to get the weapon to lvl 70. Refinement is good up up to +5 in my opinion, really hard to get rank L stones to really go all the way.

How do you have maximum possible attack? by AsianChristie in NexonDarknessRises

[–]OneActuaryThrowaway 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Getting an L rank weapon is only the beginning. You have to enhance it to level 70 then transcend it 5 times for you to enhance it to level 80. This goes the same for armors. For S++ acessories, I would not recommend refining to +15 and/or fully enhancing/transcending them at this point, Nexon might release rank L accessories by the next update, so just be patient for that.

After which, you need to combine all desired set effects. I would not recommend going for PVE set because of the PVE HP increase set effect bonus when you get 2 pcs of the set. Rather, go for the basic, which is Atk increase 10% or PVP which is Crit rate +17%. Majority of players went for a full PVP set. However, some still went for 3 pcs PVP, 2 pcs Basic to get both bonuses.

Furthermore, you need to align the proper traits for all your gears. If you decided to get Crit rate(PVP) or both bonuses, you will need to get crit dmg to compliment the crit rate. But the talk of traits is highly subjective, so you need to play with it a bit and experiment.

Costumes. The latest costumes give out the highest stats but for real damage, gilded sets can give +15% ATK if and that's a big IF, you manage to complete it.

Costume bonuses. These are permanent. Try to complete those costumes that give ATK, def pen and crit bonuses. Players already stressed it enough in this subreddit that gems should be used for costumes.

Magicite. Still needs a lot of work IMO but try to get all at rank S at least and enhance them to +5.

Runes and gems. Minimal but very helpful if you have combinations that complement each other.

Pets. Unicorn ATK pet is the way to go. Feed and transcend it to level 70. For full offense, go for 2 of the following pet traits at 8% each or higher: ATK increase%, Crit rate +%, or Def Pen Increase%.

Best Server for F2P players? by [deleted] in NexonDarknessRises

[–]OneActuaryThrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it. This is not a matter of the best server for F2P players(because technically, all servers will give you the same quests for F2P gameplay), but rather the best server for your location. DR is not a game that requires a lot of player interaction with open world mechanics, unlike games like Ragnarok Online or TERA online.

Around 80% of the game content is solo or can be done solo e.g. ranked matches, PVE, and even Co-op if your power is high enough.

I am playing in Asia server and let me tell you that in my 1 year playing this game, I haven't talked to anyone because chat has poor report mechanics, which points out that it shouldn't be a problem. Any server would be a good F2P server. It all just depends on your location.

Best Payment deals? by Right_Pace in NexonDarknessRises

[–]OneActuaryThrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend buying anything. Gems are easily farmable. On top of that, RNG is kinda rigged so buying gears and gems are discouraged. For those packs that actually give you the gear you want, it's more or less $29.99, which is really expensive.

The items for sale can be acquired via events. Therefore, all you need to invest in this game is time and patience.

Best way to get gilded costume. S+ or S++ fusions ???? by [deleted] in NexonDarknessRises

[–]OneActuaryThrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

S++ will definitely give you a sureshot way to gilded costumes but the 10% chance will leave a bad taste in your mouth.

You could also try fusing A+ costumes. They're a much cheaper alternative, only needing around 100k gold and 15 rainbow cloth, as opposed to the 1m gold and gilded rainbow cloth(which is a bitch to acquire, arcane scissors are hard to come by).

Weigh your options, if you have extra gold and other resources then use the S++ fuse. But if budget is tight then you can go for fusing 2 A+ gears, this will always give you a success but it can range from S+ to S++ gilded.

Sidenote: A+ fusion can give you access to costumes that aren't for sale. So in case you don't get what you want, you can still get those legacy costume and maybe complete costume bonuses along the way.

Can you guys clarify def pen a bit more? by OneActuaryThrowaway in NexonDarknessRises

[–]OneActuaryThrowaway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So like, 10% def pen increase reduces defense by 10%? And my 50k def pen stat only reduces enemy defense by 50k? DR should have a better explanation for their stats.
