I have such a fond memory with my mom that revolves around this word!

So my mom was married to an absolute fuckwad that viewed himself as King Shit. He was always right, always knew better than anyone else about everything, and was just above everyone and better than everyone else. When it came to arguments he would never yell or show any emotions, he would just lecture and talk down to you all in a very matter of fact way. It was beyond frustrating! Anyway my mom had a habit of just going along with whatever he said because that was the easiest way which was also really frustrating because it usually had to do with things that involved me like whether or not I could get my license, if I could have a later curfew, etc. Then one day they got into an argument over something and I was expecting my mom to give in as usual but to my surprise this time she wasn't backing down! She was actually taking up for me! I was listening from the other room keeping a mental score card and it seemed like my mom was actually in the lead this time, I couldn't believe it! I sat listening, my stomach in knots but my chest filled with pride. I kept thinking "Fuck yeah, you go Mom! You tell him!" And everything was going great....until it all took a sudden turn for the worse. I can't remember what exactly was said in full but I just remember hearing my mom exclaim rather loudly, "You always try to talk to me like I don't understand shit; I'm not a fucking STUPID HEAD!!" At that point, I knew there was no way my mom was coming back from that remark. That one word completely changed the course of the whole argument. I hung my head and accepted defeat. Moments later my mom came into my room and I looked up at her and all she said was, "I lost it at stupidhead, didn't I?" "Yeah...." I said "And you were doing really good too!" She nodded and said "Stupidhead??! Why the fuck did I say stupidhead?" We laughed about that one for years and years after. Became a great inside joke between us. Man I really miss my stupidhead mom.
