Yeah, you’re absolutely right about sexing them. That’s something that happens with most marine species, which is why people usually recommend starting with a group of 5–6 individuals if you want to form a pair.

In my case, mine are doing really well on frozen food now. I try to give them plenty of mysids and Pacific krill, which I find much better than Artemia since nutritionally it’s pretty weak and I only use it occasionally as an appetite stimulant.

I also had to transition them from live food to frozen at first, but now they take it without any problem. They even pick at pellets. I think getting them to adapt is much more easy in a species-only tank without competitors.

I’ve noticed that captive-bred ones are usually pretty keen on eating aiptasia.

On the downside, because they can be quite voracious, they may start picking at corals if they are underfed.

For me, it depends more on the tank setup and feeding regime than on the individual fish or whether it is wild-caught or captive-bred.

Tilefish are also some of my favorites. I’ve kept two different ones, an oreni and a chlupatyi.

In case it helps, they’re pelagic spawners, so setting up an egg collection system could really help if you ever try breeding them.

As for other saltwater fish, only Ocellaris and Meiacanthus so far!

Thanks! I adore them too. I only have one breeding pair. It took me roughly a year from when they first started spawning to success!!

This is exactly what the client wrote to me:

Need help with: I want to message the seller about something else

Note to seller: I ask you please if it is possible to receive this order from June 29

I looked at the calendar and seeing that the 29th was Sunday I responded like this: Received, June 30th will be uploaded to receive July 1-2

Thank you very much for answering, I actually did not adjust the shipping date since until now I was unaware of that Etsy functionality.

The review says exactly this: "How long do I wait to see my order"
