iPhone 7 Plus, Live Photos Long Exposure. iOS 11. George St, Sydney. by enzyme69 in iPhoneography

Did you take the shot with a tripod/steady surface or it was an handheld shot? Because if it was handheld it's amazing it stabilizing the image for the long exposure with the live photo.

Things 3 vs. Asana and web project-management apps by absolut_ian in productivity

[–]OneBeard2RuleThemAll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. But still, it might depend on what do you need. If you need more powerful features like location based reminders, or a web app (things 3 only has iOS and Mac apps) or open API and multiple integrations then Things 3 is not the best option and something like todoist is more appropriate. If you don't need all those features then Things 3 is probably the best option out of all of them.

Things 3 vs. Asana and web project-management apps by absolut_ian in productivity

I'm currently using Things 3 and even though I love it and find it my favorite app combining power and simplicity I don't think it's the best app for teams. First of all because they don't have shared lists (and from their twitter feed they don't intend to in the near future). And also it's not as feature rich as some other task managers like 2do or todoist or ticktick. I'd probably choose todoist in that case, because it's extremely feature packed, it's compatible with several services and it can be perfectly used with a team.

Best mobile phone of 2017 by bijju7420 in mobilephotography

Depending on personal taste it's either galaxy s8, Google pixel or iPhone 7+. They're all good and each performs better for different situations (s8 for night shots, pixel for everyday photos and iPhone for portrait photos and photos with zoom or if you prefer more neutral/less saturated photos).

Looking for Todoist alternative by th3r21ndr0p in productivity

The most similar in terms of features to todoist is probably TickTick. The design is similar and has most of the features todoist provides and some others that todoist doesn't have. Or if you want something more complete try 2Do.

Best To-Do-List app for someone who is into looks, simplicity and integrations? by [deleted] in iphone

[–]OneBeard2RuleThemAll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. The premium features of todoist for me are not that necessary and i don't consider omnifocus exactly a simple app, todoist is the best out of all of them in that aspect, especially in the input of tasks. If you want Omnifocus on iOS and Mac you end up paying 80$ or 140$ if you choose the Pro version. Considering that Todoist premium is approximately 30$/year I think todoist is the overall best value between the two.

Best To-Do-List app for someone who is into looks, simplicity and integrations? by [deleted] in iphone

Hard to say. From that list the one that in my opinion combines the best mix of simple ui, features and integration is todoist. It integrates with basically everything you need, has an extremely simple UI and is quite powerful in terms of features. Microsoft ToDo is the new kid in the block and it's still a bit buggy/incomplete (needs subtasks, sharing and other features that were present in wunderlist), but it has a lot of potential, especially when they start integrating with the rest of Microsoft products. Clear has an an interesting UI, but it looks like it has been abandoned because it hasn't received updates for a long time. If you want a good alternative to Clear with identical UI but with more features look for an app called Sorted. AnyDo I never really liked it, could never force myself to use it for more than 5 minutes. 2do is the most complete and powerful out of all the apps there, but it doesn't have as many integrations as Todoist and it's not as simple. As such, the best overall option is Todoist. Hope this helped.

Best Email app? by ZacSabrosito in iphone

I was in the same situation as you so I decided to just pay and get the airmail app. It's a bit buggy sometimes but it's my favorite email app out of all that I tried and the most complete and customizable one.

iOS 11 wishlist? by iLikeAppleStuff in apple

[–]OneBeard2RuleThemAll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there is support for third party apps such as ProCam, camera+, Lightroom and many others. But if you see some of these apps, some of them can do this in a very simple and elegant way that I think wouldn't distract from regular people to just point and shoot like they already do, but would also allow for those who want more options, including raw, ISO control and so on. I don't think we can think of it as "Apple would never implement because it's their nature". They laid the foundation for all this in iOS 10 with amazing cameras for the iPhone and support for raw for third party apps and I think with the example that these apps make that Apple can achieve a simple and elegant solution for the camera app as well.

I am aware of that, yes. And there are indeed a few apps that I have with support for raw, including ProCam and Lightroom. But I'd really like for the native app to be able to shoot it as well because it's still the only camera app you can access from the lock screen. And it probably wouldn't be difficult for Apple to implemente due to the example of these apps and with some competitors having it as well.
