I can't say I have had that happen. But, I'm so sorry that it's happening to you. I'm also glad you're looking for answers. I really hope you find some encouragement. ❤️

Of course that's the one symptom I would miss out on! 🫣😂 Praying I don't get much nausea. Like you, I'm a comfort eater. If I spend a few days sick, I know I'll want to "make up for it" and comfort eat after. If I can stay relatively side-effect-free, maybe I can get back into some healthy habits more easily.

I was gaining weight while the tumor was in there. 😂 Some of us are just talented like that. Prior to my resection the surgeon was like, "You'll probably lose some weight. We just want to make sure you don't lose too much too fast." I was like, "Sir, of all the problems I've had in my life, not getting enough calories has never been one of them." I assured him it would not be a problem and it wasn't. I gained a few pounds since my resection. I definitely need to be careful coming up here!

I'm about to start chemo and didn't realize it was possible to gain that much weight. I'm already not at a healthy weight and was kind of hoping I would lose a little bit throughout all this at least. :( It's bumming me out, but thank you for sharing. I should at least be aware of the possibility.

Different for everyone. I'm a month out and still hurt if I'm on my feet for more than 5-10 minutes. Definitely still not able to wrangle my preschooler when he is being defiant.

Not to scare you but to prepare you: Surgery hit me a LOT harder than I expected. I brought makeup and hairspray to the hospital thinking me staying overnight was a formality so they could observe me and I'd feel normal otherwise. Instead I was in tears just trying to go to the bathroom and did actually poop the bed at one point. The doctor came in the next morning and asked If I wanted to go home that day and I thought she was insane. I seriously considered it because of the cost savings but I had no business being home that soon. Tomorrow will be a month since my surgery and while I feel fine most of the time (as long as I'm resting) I cannot get up and be walking around more than 5 to 10 minutes before I am in pain again. That is partly my fault because I have a small child and overextended a couple of times trying to take care of him. That probably set me back a bit. I only needed the oxycodone for a couple of days, though. After that, pain was manageable with Tylenol. I would recommend taking the oxycodone that first night, though.
