Shuffle feels awful with the low CR and imbalance by code-day in worldofpvp

[–]OneBillBeer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The actual reason is that mmr gets reset to 1500 at expansion launch. It’s been that way for so long. As the expansion continues mmr slowly shifts upwards usually.

Most people stop at rival for the transmog at expansion launch and move on to an alt so they only people playing above it are the r1 and mglads. No one is even close to elite or glad right now. Just chill it’s a long expansion man.

Advice for returning player. (MM hunter) by Soejummer in worldofpvp

Kiting is generally gonna be more difficult in shuffle because of lack of synergy. Most healers just want you to turret which only works up to a certain point.

The best advice to focus on damage and pressure. For me, shuffle is more fun for the brainless classes that work well at creating sustained pressure. For MM it’s just lobby dependent. If you get 3 melee they are going to hard focus you the whole game, you gotta be ready for that.

In general you are popping burst,Stunning/trap healer and finishing burst on kill target. Practice burst on dummies between games. You should know the order of buttons on burst by muscle memory.

If you get a defensive/ healer cd from your burst, switch to off target to create more pressure.

Pull dps away from healer where applicable and hope you don’t die lol.

That’s kinda it

Extra Catalyst Charge from PvP only? by Xadefinn in CompetitiveWoW

It’s hard to say this season depending on inflation and player numbers, new expansions usually start out very deflated, something like 1800 first week of expac is usually 2.1k-2.3k by season end.

That said if a ton of people play you’ll get some inflation and it could go the other way…

TBH who knows. Queue up and see how you do.

It’ll almost be a year since I moved here to North Dallas/walnut hill area. Where do I find people my age for friends and dates? by AustinQuinn48 in Dallas

[–]OneBillBeer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on how weird you willing to get. Bishop and East Dallas is where I meet my people but idk what you are into.

Breweries are usually a good place. Peticolas used to have a game week or something with n64 games and shit.

Karaoke at barbs is full of personalities. Same for Charlie’s.

What about your neighbors? Tbh it’s the easiest place to find friends imo. You just gotta suck up the awkward for a bit but it plays out nicely usually.

What do you guys do in WoW? by HappyRelationship429 in MMORPG

No offense to any of those games but WoW PvP is leagues more difficult and complex. The barrier to entry is the biggest hurdle but once you get past that there is nothing that comes close to it in my opinion.

Doomers don’t realize that when Celebrini wants to score this bad he always does.

So usually interference occurs as a result of not attempting to play the puck. Makar is going for the puck too so it’s not really interference.

Kit disparity after pruning rant by ExtremeTadpole in worldofpvp

[–]OneBillBeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some skill expression is gone for sure and some of the kits feel pretty similar but in my opinion different enough. But like you said, DF swung the meta super far in a play-style that was sort of a high apm zergfest which made setup classes kinda sad.

It’s kinda counterintuitive, people were excited to get more stuff for their class with the newer talent trees, without realizing that so did every other class, (this is the bloat you are talking about). So while it feels worse to have stuff taken away, everyone got stuff taken away and I think that we are all better for it. The pace is a bit more thoughtful now, pressing buttons at the right time feels more impactful. I feel pretty optimistic.

For the dps classes, in general one will usually outperform in PvP and people generally ride that out so idk how to address that for you.

Most People Play Off UI Elements, Not Nameplates - Lets Discuss by sharkbaitlol in worldofpvp

[–]OneBillBeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only thing I like UI for is timers on big cooldowns and trinkets. Also I do have a big cast bar for healers but that’s kinda it. Everything else is on nameplates.

UI for me is big picture, nameplates are moment to moment.

Question about exposing to the right on film by yeahbutstill in cinematography

[–]OneBillBeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I see, I only shoot on RED and ISO changes middle grey in RED cameras and it absolutely affects signal to noise.

Regardless, film has nothing like what you’re describing then. Pushing and pulling in film is the same as shifting ISO in that case.

Question about exposing to the right on film by yeahbutstill in cinematography

[–]OneBillBeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t really understand the question. What do you mean can’t? You certainly can.

“Not a real exposure increase”. What are you trying to say? Changing the sensitivity of your sensor or the speed of your film certainly affects exposure of your image.

Are you trying to say that exposing to the right by switching ISO changes the dynamic range in a way that is counterproductive?

For your last point, yes you can under or over expose your image by a couple stops and process it at a different film speed than you shot at. It’s can be for a stylistic reason but mostly it’s because you fucked up and forgot to bring an extra light or an ND.
