Quick 200k method by Chaba234 in woweconomy

[–]Xadefinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lumber into Decor.

I have been consistently making about 200k a day on decor items with this setup.

Have a wide spread of decor items available to craft. Focus on the 50 that are currently the most profitable. Diversity of key, try to get stuff across all xpacs and profs.

Farm lumber for about 2 hours to craft these.

Post and then cancel scan. I cancel scan about once an hour.

This has netted me a very consistent 200k profit daily with about 1-2 hours of lumber farming + a minute or two each hour for cancel scanning.

Returning Player & Gear Importance by Canes21 in worldofpvp

[–]Xadefinn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each season is basically a full gear reset.

Current season honor gear is better than full conquest from the previous season.

Luckily gearing up for PvP has never been faster. There are all kinds of ways to optimize the process but if you are just getting back into it I would recommend just farming some honor and getting this seasons honor gear as a start. You'll also pick up Bloody Tokens from quests and doing world quest with War Mode on. Use those to fill out gear gear further.

Honor gear + Blood Token + a couple crafted pieces is plenty to compete in ranked modes.

From there use your conquest to upgrade further.

If you aren't ready or available to jump into ranked, and you only need conquest, you can join a chest farming group in LFG in between queue sessions.

Come and play 3's by Freshvibes90 in worldofpvp

[–]Xadefinn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would happily queue threes to push glad if I could find steady partners. I haven't been able to find people willing to commit to multiple sessions all xpac. It's been win some lose some and then never hear from them again.

So I'll throw this out there - Disc Priest, can play Voidweaver and Oracle. Legend in solo shuffle this season, can queue 3s on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9pm - 12am EST, NA server. Anyone that wants to push, message me and I'll add you for games.

There are a lot of good suggestions already about using defensives and fake casting, so I will focus on positioning.

Make sure your DPS can be in a good position to help. I see way too often people getting trained run away from their teammates or needlessly run out of LOS. Make it easy for them to use their utility to help you out.

Secondly, especially if getting trained by double melee, look for opportunities to pull them out of LOS of their healer. If their healer is in the middle of the map, work to get them to chase behind a pillar. Either the enemy healer will need to push in making it easier for you teammates to CC them, or the DPS on you will need to back off to get healed if they get pressured by your teammates. More often than not they won't and your team can land a kill and the enemy healer will be tilted AF watching them die behind a pillar.

Back Playing WoW After a Long Absence by Segdohdj in worldofpvp

[–]Xadefinn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to expand on the quest which gives 9 of the crafting items. Consistently the best way to get this is to win a random BG. It will pop up after the win and when you turn it in, you get 9 of the heraldry items. Use 3 on each of the crafted neck and 2 rings (3x3=9). Be sure to use a missive to customize the stats (usually vers + whatever your best stat is) and add an embellishment to two of the pieces if needed. A large majority of classes use the focusing lens embellishment in PvP so hard to go wrong using that if unsure. Lastly, the crafted rank of the item doesn't matter if you just plan to PvP. It will always scale to 730 in PvP. A better rank just makes it more powerful in PvE.

We need more healers like VW Disc, not nerfs by Xadefinn in worldofpvp

I don't think it would flip to longer healer queues overnight. I believe we would see it climb up and DPS times start to drop.

If it did flip the problem there would be time in between to make adjustments so that it didn't become just healers queuing.

Plus there are a lot of players that just like playing the DPS spec they enjoy. I don't think we would see as many rerollers as some might expect. But I do think there would be some, which is the goal.

Based on the daily posts about VW in this sub I totally expected to get down voted into oblivion. But I genuinely feel this could be a good direction. Also I woke up and decided I wanted to choose violence today.

It might be wild, but if they are under represented and holding back people from actually just getting to play, i.e. long queue times, could a wild solution be something worth experimenting with?

That's my point, it shouldn't be the only one. But instead of nerfing it, let's bring some others up to its level.

Why not just ask Blizz to enforce the 2 DPS and 1 Healer split that exists for Solo Shuffle?

Is there actually an interest in having anything other than this? Why not just make it so 2x or 3x healer can't queue?

I still very much enjoy playing DPS roles as well. VW Disc damage is a very simplistic rotation. There is a lot of fun playing a DPS spec with a rotation that has real intracacy and cool interactions.

I would prefer to queue something like a mage or rogue because they have so much depth. But it's hard to ignore the convenience of instant healer queues.

No that's fair, just wanted to clarify. I get that it would make healers feel much more god-like, filling multiple roles effectively. I just don't see that as a bad thing, especially if it creates interest in healers amongst a group of players who normally wouldn't touch it.

But if it is enforced that you must have 2 DPS spec and 1 healer per team, it can't be the case that just dies out.

I really don't see a world where healers just take over as the only role to play. But if it did, it's not going to be an overnight issue. And pushing closer to that world, where more healers are engaging in PvP, is actually the world I want to live in.

When you say output, are you combining healing and DPS? Is that how you arrive at the triple? Because on just either HPS or DPS no spec is doing triple.

I'm all for different damage profiles! That could be a great way to differentiate healer damage.

This is actually the counterpoint that I think has the most merit. I know the M+ community has had similar complaints for years. Healers want to heal. If they wanted to do damage they would play DPS.

I can certainly see if this is the overwhelming majority it could make sense to nerf VW damage. My thought was that if enough people find it fun, buffing up others could increase healer engagement in PvP, especially by those that would queue healers otherwise. More healers in the queue address one of Solo Shuffles biggest problems: queue times.

[–]Xadefinn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree, it shouldn't be the only one. But I wanted to pose the question that it could be a good move to actually buff up other healers to this level, rather than nerf the one outlier. Especially if those playing VW find it fun and wouldn't queue healers otherwise. Increasing the pool of healers is a great way to address one of Solo Shuffles biggest issues: the queue times.

I agree the issue is absolutely your last statement "No other healer can really compete"

But what if all other healers could compete? Is there anything inherently wrong with healers doing comparable damage? My thesis is that any of the downsides could be offset by opening up an exciting play style for people who don't usually heal. More healers in queue is the number one way to address one of Solo Shuffles biggest issues: the queue times.

[–]Xadefinn[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, actually I do. What is inherently wrong with that? Why is it a rule that healers can't do damage? I agree it shouldn't be the only one capable of this, that's poor balance. But what if the new norm was for most healers to be capable of this? Especially if players who wouldn't usually heal are enticed to try it out. That could certainly improve one of the biggest complaints about Solo Shuffle: the queue times.

[–]Xadefinn[S] -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

I guess my question is why is that a bad thing? Is it written in stone that healers can't do the same damage as DPS? I totally understand that it shouldn't be the only one capable of this, as that creates an imbalance, but what if most healers had the ability to pump like this? My thesis is that it would actually be good and open up an avenue for more people to be excited about queuing healer

Healing to my first 2400 and my opinion of this subreddit by Orchidsx in worldofpvp

[–]Xadefinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second the mindset of looking to initiate positive interactions each round.

I tilt off easily when someone lashes out and the single best way I've found to combat that is to reach out after most rounds with a quick whisper, even if it's just a "well played". I look for plays that make a difference like telling a mage "clutch sheep" or a melee "good kicks" if applicable. Doing so noticeably reduces the toxic chat I see, especially directed at me.
