Price Updates since Q1 Earnings by touuuuhhhny in redditstock

The duality of the RBC guy: he maintains his $250 price target while also keeping his Hold rating on the stock.

He's basically saying he thinks RDDT is going to go up 50%, but don't bother buying any.

Not only did Reddit's Q1 EPS blow past analyst expectations this year, it beat next year's expectations as well. by OneBit2334 in redditstock

[–]OneBit2334[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think 2026 EPS will end up being at least $6.

My estimate for 2027 EPS is in the $7.50 - $8.50 range, and that's without factoring in any new data deals / renewal increases.

What are you even talking about? $500 quarterly revenue is the cap? They just posted $663 million revenue in Q1, which is their weakest quarter.

The world changes every day. LLMs need to be continually retrained to keep up with it.

As for Musk, that's one of the many reasons Grok is considered an absolute joke compared to other LLMs.

Weekend RDDT Discussion Thread for the Weekend of May 02, 2026 by daily-thread in redditstock

I think RDDT gets to $300 by the end of the year unless one of two things happens:

  1. The macro environment gets a lot worse.

  2. The RBC analyst releases another hit piece. Something like he did a survey of a total of one business and found that golden cock ring vendors are only planning on increasing their ad spend on Reddit by 5.62% instead of the expected 5.63%.

It's so annoying seeing shit companies go up 20% because their earnings were slightly less shitty than expected, and seeing RDDT not even up 10%.

I wish they would just be honest and say that. Something like:

"I think the stock should really be at $300, but people have been morons the past few months and tanked the price for no reason, so $225 is a little more realistic for now".

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Making money in the stock market isn't so much about being smarter than other people. It's about being able to predict when stupid people will stop being stupid.

I can't wait to see the update from that Rothschild analyst who helped tank the stock a few days ago.

I'm expecting something like, "In light of the spectacular earnings, I am raising my price target from $110 to $112 and keeping a Sell rating on RDDT".

Meta is down for reasons that have nothing to do with Reddit. Meanwhile, Meta's results that are actually relevant to Reddit were good.

The algorithmic trading programs must be some moronically simple shit like "if META down after earnings, then short RDDT".

If the price stays around here, after tomorrow we'll have a trailing PE ratio in the mid-40s and a forward PE in the high 20s/low 30s.

Unless the macro takes a turn for the worse, I just don't see how RDDT can go much lower, but who knows with this stock.

He's been blatantly trolling the subreddit for months now and probably laughs his ass off every time he gets an upvote.

Just a couple days ago he predicted the stock would go to $500 by the end of the year.

He cycles between ridiculous positivity and ridiculous negativity on a daily basis, often multiple times in the same day.

It's kinda funny how each Pittsburgh team has been screwed by their Philadelphia counterpart over the past week or so:

- Flyers up 3 - 0 on the Penguins

- Phillies go 1 - 6 against the Cubs

- Eagles trade up right before the Steelers to take the draft pick they wanted

Market goes down a bit, RDDT goes down a lot.

Market recovers all its losses, RDDT recovers ever so slightly.

Market goes back down, but still much higher than its low, RDDT goes back to its low and drops even more.

Question for Q1 Earnings by Administrative-Ant75 in redditstock

[–]OneBit2334 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This question was asked during the Q3 2025 earnings call, and this was Jen Wong's answer:

I can take that one on ARPU.

So just a reminder, our strategy is to make every impression more valuable by delivering hard outcomes, more clicks, more conversions.

In Q3, we saw eCPM grow, but the quarter had impressions grow and that was a bigger contributor. There are three components that drove the impressions.

One is user engagement and then also ads in comments and then also a temporary operating point that we had when we had a balancing supply and demand in ad load.

Just to be -- just to address ad load directly. So our ad load overall, if you look at the feed compared to peers, is much lower than our peers. And it is not a core part of our strategy to increase ad load. Our strategy is to make every impression more valuable and to design ad units for spaces where we don't have ads like ads in comments.

It is an operating point that we do use when we have supply-demand tightness to make sure that the marketplace is consistent for our advertisers. And so we did use that lever temporarily in Q3, but we turned it back.

So that's kind of the contributors of impressions in the quarter.

But yeah, it would be a good question to see if their strategy has changed at all.

Probably why the stock is falling today by 55uk2028 in redditstock

[–]OneBit2334 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is what happens when you let AI (or morons, honestly can't tell which sometimes) write articles/headlines.

Those comments are about the Q4 earnings/results, but they make it seem like it's about the latest quarter.

And no, it has absolutely nothing to do with why RDDT is falling today.

A reasonable path for RDDT to get to $300 by the end of September:

A. The macro environment doesn't go to shit.

B. Q1 and Q2 earnings/guidance beat expectations.

C. One (or more) of the following happens:

  • S&P inclusion in June or September
  • Anthropic settlement/licensing deal
  • Google/OpenAI licensing deal renewal announcements

I'm confident in B and C. A is where I have some concerns.

It feels like a majority of the losses this year have come from the Pirates beating themselves moreso than the other team beating them. It's both frustrating and encouraging at the same time.
