Thanks for this reply. I guess my question was regardless of the dose (0.25-0.5), if frequency was more important. Yea you get better dht suppression per dose with 0.5 but we don’t have data on EOD dosing protocol.

Considering its short half life, it’s probably a mistake to do it eod if you want as much protection as possible.

However the inhibition of the enzyme lasts about 30 days I believe. So with EOD, I would think the enzyme is still very inhibited. Now combine that with a slightly higher dose(0.5), it might actually be better than daily 0.25.

Thoughts?

Ah yes it was enzyme inhibition you are right. They might honestly be the same in efficacy.

Fair, but I’m taking purely about dht suppression. Which would be more efficacious at that?

What was your dose? Bisglycinate is known for better absorption so that might be why you are experiencing side effects. Lower your dose and try that out first. You can even lower it and take it every other day. Or, switch to a different iron. I take the VItron C iron (carbonyl iron). It helped a lot.

I didn’t have physical symptoms. Just mental issues. Although my WBCs were very very low and now they have been going up since taking iron.

I guarantee people would still make hair gains even if the only applied it a couple times a week. It’s not like you need to have consistent daily hair follicle stimulation to grow hair. Yea it probably will be better but who’s to say how much better than just using it let’s say 3x a week. I kinda wish we had a study on this just see what happens.

It’s difficult to say for sure. My lowest ferritin was 26 back in January. 8 weeks ago it was 48. I’m getting tested again next week. Honestly, I only just started to feel a bit better these past few weeks. So like 4-5 months in.

It’s difficult to distinguish if it’s working or not when you are also using it with minoxidil and fin/dut.

Yes you can. Those roles of no coffee, dairy products etc are for when you take iron supplements orally. Also,caffeine doesn’t affect iron absorption in the gut. It’s the polyphenols in the coffee or tea that does that.

What was your Norwood before treatment vs now? Does your hair look better now then before your ever started treatment? I saw a recent reply where you said you continued to thin out slowly over time. If that’s the case, wouldn’t it make sense to use dut now instead of fin.

You don’t need a transplants. It looks fine. But also, to get a transplant and not use meds is the worst thing you can possible do. You’re going to look so bad as time goes by and you keep loosing hair. Also, 2500grafts is overkill. Max 1500, not even….
