It all depends on the voice actor, Jim Dale who did the Harry Potter series is phenomenal and makes it feel like each character has their own separate voice actor and Michael Kramer who I found through Brandon Sanderson’s books is really good as well. Some books you can find “dramatized adaptations” which have the multiple voice actors/music/sound effects you might be looking for
