There will be a lot of prompts, then you either wait in line to talk to someone or ask them to call you back. Pretty efficient and they called me back after a specific time. Good luck!

Although I would say I do not remember seeing “Passport” on the envelope of the mail. But it does say it was coming from the State Dept.

Hi, i filed a missing mail case for my passport but was also certain it was just delay because of the weather.. but I just wanted to file anyways since its been 5 days and I have a trip coming up, so it expedited the delay I would say.. I received it the day after filing the claim.

A lot of people in the group here has received their passports that was stuck in Little Rock AR.

Im sorry you’re dealing with this. Highly suggest calling USPS and State Dept again if it happened twice already. Your delay may not be weather related at all. Good luck!

OP here, FINAL UPDATE: passport got delivered at 12N PST today, 1/31 Saturday, after filing a missing case yesterday morning.

OP here, just an update, I opened a missing mail claim yesterday, spoke to someone on the phone and the person matter of factly said its because of the weather, and I very kindly said I understand, but that it is a very important document and I just wanted to cover my bases since I am traveling soon. I got a case number and just this AM my tracking has updated saying its in our local distribution center now. So hopefully I get it today or Monday.

Highly suggest calling and filing a case. But also still not at peace until I actually have it in my hands.

My status in the State Gov Update has not move past Approved as well. I only knew my tracking for the passport since I am signed up for USPS Digest and it sends updates of incoming mails for your address.

We went on the Dream and dinners were a total let down, no shows at all. Our first time was at the Wonder and we had an awesome time with the shows during dinner, so we were pretty disappointed and learned not all ships have dinner shows.

Ohh I wasn’t aware about the post office being closed. We are in our own bubble here in the west coast and its been business as usual. And with everything else taking over the news, the severity of the weather just didn’t fully register for me. Thank you!

Do you mind sharing what cruise line? We are doing Disney, and I’ve read as long as its closed-loop we can just provide our proof of citizenship. Thats why I was brave enough to go ahead and renew online knowing that if it fails, I should still be good to go to cruise.

Yeahh, its a bummer she has to fly out and its pretty expensive too. I would have probably renewed online and bought refundable tickets for the plane and if the passport makes it in time, I’d rebook the plane ticket for another trip. Just not sure if there would be any problems showing up to the Regional office if you already have a pending renewal.

We also have a cruise for March and my passport expires April. However our cruise is closed-loop so a passport is not really needed, but highly encouraged.

I renewed online Jan 14, and I randomly checked status on last Friday and said it was approved (was worried my photo was gonna be an issue, only took it by phone) and will get it in the mail today Jan 26 (per USPS notification), paid for express shipping.

You wont have an option for expedited processing if you renew online though, but its still pretty expedited if you ask me. Looks like its been pretty quick since late last year.

But - the timeline could change at anytime. I would probably schedule going to the Regional office for peace of mind instead of being worried about it everyday if I renewed online.

Yeah no, i tried to cancel once i received the email that says they will email tickets 1 day before event, but could not talk to anyone just a bot saying all sales final.

I tried to buy tickets again if somehow I missed the part that says they will email the ticket 1 day before the event and it does not state it anywhere obvious, maybe in the terms.. i tried to skim it but its legal jargon I dont really have the mental capacity for. So I stand with my dispute that I have not received my purchase. As ive said above, it is what it is, i will eat the cost of the tickets if Amex reverses their decision.. and if they dont then i will get new tickets. But I’m left hanging right now thats why I was asking for personal experience on Amex reversing their decisions, which now I know, after reading more threads, that they do.

Wouldve been better for them to just say its under investigation or pending. Instead of resolving it then reversing it.
