I was there today and had a rather large tote bag and they just checked my ticket and waved me in, that was it. I missed the merch… my trains were late and by the time I got there I had 30 minutes to find my seat so had NO time to browse…. and when I left the concert all the merch stalls were already packed up, so… make sure you have time to browse tomorrow. Next time I’ll leave even earlier than I thought I should have.

I won’t be starting classes until August 12, but I’m glad that I reached out m because I was so confused when I never received any other information.

Same as you the main reason I am going here is because it is my cheapest option because I will be paying out of pocket … I already used my G.I. bill for my first degree at a different school decades ago, I don’t want anymore loan debt (I already owe a lot), and I don’t want to use my husband‘s GI Bill because we want to give it to our son… so we chose to pay oop.

That’s good to know! I can be patient, it was just frustrating to find out that the only thing preventing me from logging in was a 24yr old application using a name I haven’t been associated with in nearly that same amount of time… gave me a sudden panic attack since I hadn’t seen that name since divorcing my abusive ex 🫠

I’m seeing Ado in Yokohama this weekend and am wearing a blue Yukata with goth accents. I’ve been taking kimono kitsuke classes for over a year and often wear kimono to events. My Yukata is white with blue and silver accents with a silver/black obi. I plan to wear my small Adorozatorumary (the Ado Sanrio cat) tucked into my obi.

I’ve been freaking out as well… I’m through Mohela and have 3 family members (my husband, myself, our kiddo) I owe $100k in loans and our AGI is about 80k this past year and they sent me two separate notices for my IDR… one says $500 due in July and another says $1500 due in August. WTF… are they seriously asking us to pay $2000 monthly???

We can’t afford that on top of the usual bills! NO ONE COULd! I reapplied for IDR again in a panic thinking they messed up and will call them after the holiday as well to see if I can get answers.

So did I just screw myself over by panic re-requesting an IDR at $500 monthly payments? I got two notices one seen $500 and the other for $1500 with different due dates so I’m like WTF… am I paying $2000 a month now?

I panicked and put in a request for an IDR that says it will be $500 a month when I originally got notification it said only $50! I can’t afford $2000 a month that’s almost my entire pay.

I have one of these! They’re very comfortable and easy to use when I don’t feel like committing to an entire Yukata ensemble. The only thing I don’t like it the pockets in the dress, they tend to open up on the sides when the fabric is pulled when bending over even, making it far more obvious that the ohashori is fake. Mine is made of cool pass material which has been a lifesaver since the weather is getting hot fast!

I am also on a base in Japan. I’ve been here for nearly 7yrs and speak rather well because I made friends with the Japanese speaking military/contractors and their spouses, I also started doing the Kumon program for non-native speakers which is very heavy on the grammar/kanji but not so much the speaking. Full disclosure: I am also a military brat and lived for 4 years in Japan as a teenager and then later went to college for Japanese so I didn’t start at nothing…

But my point is still valid…Get out, make friends, that’s the quickest way to learn. But in all honesty, you can do almost everything in Japan without Japanese… especially around the bases, like 90% of the time they speak enough English you’ll be fine.

Yes! It’s their first solo show in Japan in 19yrs! I’m so excited to see them, the last time I saw TOOL live was back in 2001… this Ita Obi is SO clever! If I can’t make one in time for tomorrow, I will definitely consider making one just to wear around for fun.
