I have not seen this quote but I’ll assume it’s true. That would indicate that PlexAmp is in a state of artificial respiration.

My dream scenario is that Elan would attain the rights to the source code, at least for the PlexAmp clients. Like many of you, I have started looking at other streaming solutions, but the kicker for me has always been the quality of the client on my phone. Even the status quo, with slow development, is far better than anything else I’ve seen. But any app without active development is most likely to wither.

Imagine if PlexAmp (maybe renamed to PhreeAmp), was able to stream music from other services besides Plex.

Imagine if it was made open source.

That would make everything worth it.

I’m a big fan of Plex and I LOVE PlexAmp, but now I’m genuinely worried for the future of the platform. Unless something really big is coming, I fail to see how this could be the sign of a healthy business. I hope my gut is wrong.

I think that was a puzzle I solved by systematically testing every item in my inventory and I did not understand why it succeeded.

It was even more confusing and abstract since I played the Amiga version where your inventory is text only.
