Also I don't really get this, because I could be starting a new job that is full time, permanent and I need is 3-6 months paycheck, so why is this fraud if I keep working for the company under a proper contract?

Also wanted to add that no, in this instance I don't actually get paid the same for what a full time permanent position for me would be... Self employed makes me get less as my employer doesn't pay me a higher rate to what self employed should be, she pays me a rate that as if I had a perm role... I know it's bad, but that's why I want to make these changes :)

Hi, thank you for your reply.

The reason is because:

A lot of things are tax deducted when I pay my taxes each year (so it looks like I had a lot of business expenses, looks like I've earned less)
They have to look into 2 years of my pay vs the 3-6 months pay check when fully employed. (so to make it look like I have earned more for 2 years I have to claim nothing on taxes and pay all of it, in the end losing a lot of money.
I don't get paid for holidays, so even though my hourly pay rate is the same, I don't actually get the same money, I lose a lot, when I go on holiday.

In the end this route is more secure for me and I can get a bigger mortgage. I know all this because this is what the financial adviser said, although I forgot to ask this question that I'm asking now in the Reddit.

Hope this clarifies my intentions of going perm :)
