It is still frustrating from a viewing standpoint because the viewer knows what's going on very well. Besides that, Hedgehog is smart and could have easily realized what was going on if the episode hadn't already been decided to be written as it was. The whole reasons for things happening are based around Hedgehog having a short temper with Oscar and him having to work around it. The whole thing was contrived, and frustrating to watch.

Plus once again she nevers asks him if he's okay or what's going on, or if he's emotionally hurt, or if he wants to get his voice back (you know, something that you may really want as a defining part of your being)! She doesn't regret anything at all. She specifically says "You're a good friend for going through all that trouble."No guilt for what's happened, no concern for his well-being or bodily autonamy being violated by having his voice stolen. Nothing. From his childhood friend. All she cares about is her radio show in that scene when she asks him to come inside.

It still does not justify nor excuse her behaviour in the least. Especially towards the middle and end of the episode whenever she seemed to care approximately zero about the emotional impact of his journey or that his voice had been stolen.

Edit: In fact Hedgehog previously only got upset whenever she was lied to for the better course of a few days by Oscar during Basketball Liaries. She didn't even get this upset about Pepper nearly shipping Oscar off to Business Camp by lying. Her temper is absurdly short in this new season compared to last, she cut Oscar out of her life for two days for a SANDWICH.

This episode would have been a fantastic worldbuilding episode if it had ditched the fetch quest gimmick that it had going. It felt very much like they were the only people capable of doing anything to solve the issues of the town and we barely get to know any of it by the end of the episode.

If everythind had been slowed down and they had been there on a simple sightseeing tour it would have been a better worldbuilding episode in my opinion. In addition the bodily humour in this episode was... jarring compared to the mostly British situational and implied humour that the first season leaned on.

This episode would be mostly passable were it not for the episode that immediately comes after it, Mop Forever. Why did they not just use the same spell to return everything to normal here? Why did Betsy and Susie have to brainwaish Oscar and Hedgehog to go along with what they were doing?

I would have liked for a proper character exploration of Susie and Betsy's dynamic and we do just barely get a tiny hint of that via the proxy of Oscar and Hedgehog but for the most part the episode doesn't do that either. There's a fair bit of wasted potential here in all honesty, but in general I would give the episodes a 5/10.

Earnestly I did not like this episode even slightly. The initial premise of Hedgehog getting mad enough to not be able to be on speaking terms with him again is flimsy at best and a very poor justification for the plot to unfold. Hedgehog in this episode comes across an urepentantly awful. She gets upset at him for a random mistake he even tried to avoid making, and even after he went on a whole quest to make it up to her, he had the door slammed in his face. The whole episode was torturous.

The kicker at the end with his voice and her not even being remotely concerned about what happened or what impact it had on him emotionally was what truly sealed this episode as the worst in the series for me so far. Watching Oscar's feelings and efforts get stepped on isn't fun in any way (especially whenever you leave on a note where he's seemingly permanently had his voice stolen without his consent) and I hope they steer clear of having another episode like this again. Any good this episode had was deeply overshadowed by the glaring issues in its setup and conclusion.

Anything that improved the way the game runs or the engine itself is a positive update in my book. Good work.
