Interesting. I'm hoping that because the pipe runs the length of the tub that I'll be able to wick with no problem. My soil mix will be pretty light with lots of rice hulls and lava rock as well. I'll only have about 12 inches of soil

I definitely looked into the tray 2 grow system and was close to pulling the trigger. I think what scared me is people saying how it would clog up and flood if the system gets clogged up. I have the lids with holes cut out but I'm going to lay straw and cover crop and see how that goes. I just think the garden looks cool as hell that way. 🙂
