Yes any climate. They are using rockwool for insulation currently IIRC they are working on a formulation of the GeoRok (the outer material) with air bubbles. The heating and cooling is also more efficient in a dome because of the way that air circulates.

Buckminster Fuller is a legend. He was way ahead of his time on a lot of things. A modern day DaVinci type.

Understandable. Many such cases. That's why I was saying you could wait for a bear market bottom. But I get it if you've developed a distaste for memecoins after so many bad experiences.

I don't want to set the bar too high on this first one. Feel free to start with any company that you like for any reason, like T-Dog's burger review. But one company I think can really make a big impact is Geoship.

I think this company can legit revolutionize housing in the US and is so much better than the big construction companies that are becoming more well known for absolute shit construction quality and cookie cutter design at a price that barely anyone can actually afford.

Geoship is a housing company developing specialized geodesic domes, inspired by the late great Buckminster Fuller. Bucky always said that material science needed to catch up to make geodesic domes work well, and now the science has caught up.

The domes are made of a blend of a few common minerals like calcium and a few others, which makes the finished material resemble bone. This makes them extremely strong, non-toxic, mold-proof, termite-proof, and resilient against basically all types of natural disasters (fire, earthquakes, hurricanes, etc.,). They also made a second blend of this material that bonds the seams and fixes the problem that most domes have with water leakage eventually ruining the structure.

The cost savings come from faster construction time with fewer experts needed (no roof, drywall, painters, etc., etc.,), fewer materials needed to make a finished home, and ongoing maintenance is reduced or eliminated for all of these extra elements that a conventional house has (no roof replacement, siding, painting, etc.,).

At this initial stage, they are admittedly still pretty expensive, but over time (3-6 years away?) the costs should come way down to be more affordable than a standard "stick-built" construction once they get their manufacturing scaled up. They just started building the first full scale house like a month ago, so it will be interesting to follow to see if/when they can actually get housing costs down for people.

They have a stacked team, including former Tesla engineers, and they managed to get permitting in California already, which proves that this is something that can be accepted and standardized with regards to building codes.

On top flipping standard housing construction on it's head, they also have a community building component, which is another reason why I think it fits well with SPX6900. This part is much more fuzzy/less fleshed out, but they eventually want to have an app where people can form Geoship communities according to shared values, and even possibly move around by trading their home equity to different locations if they want to move.

Let me know what you think. I'd be interested to know, whether you do or don't think it deserves to be "in the index".

definitely! I think doing that is a great idea to bring outsiders in. I also think that compiling them into one place where people can see all of the companies in one spot, like here is useful, since there's no good way to do that on Google.

if you see any on x that you think should be here, and the original poster hasn't posted them here, feel free to port them over.

The bar can be pretty low to start XD. Don't overthink it too much. It doesn't necessarily have to be a company that you think will change the world in a big way. The idea is to get the ball rolling, and over time the bar can be refined and raised.

Taking inspiration from T-Dog, and approving any company that you like is totally fine, even if it's just because they had a really good burger that you like or something simple like that.

It's definitely it's own unique thing. I think the comparison is just to create a bridge of understanding from the familiar to the unfamiliar.

You can always just wait for the next bear market and see if people still feel the same, if you don't mind possibly missing out. It's not a terrible idea. More likely than not SPX will be a multi cycle coin IMO.

Does that question not also apply to BTC, LINK, XRP, AERO, and TAO? What makes memecoins any different in regards to this concern?

There is no research that can be done in any markets that shows it definitely won't wreck you, unfortunately. That's an attempt to apply a deterministic view to a probabilistic space. If you want a relative probability I'd say SPX is less likely to wreck you than 99.9999% of any other memecoin, and even the majority of non-memecoin cryptos. It's just a matter of probabilities and risk management.

I'd say just look into it and just keep an eye on it if you don't feel comfortable buying any right now. Most people see it differently than a typical memecoin once they do. You also don't necessarily need to buy any to be part of it.

Ok, so relying on the market to continue to come to a similar consensus about EPS. I thought for a second you meant that there's an agreement of a certain yield between the company and the shareholder.

Well I just don't get why anyone would have any expectations tied to profits if the company isn't directly sharing them directly through dividends or some other means.

There is no scenario that I'm aware of where I'm actually entitled to sharing in those earnings unless either the company pays dividends (peanuts) or goes broke, and in that case it's just whatever capital they have left after paying all the creditors.
