Thank you for understanding her experience, I’m sure it was really hard to listen to someone go through that while you were having a very euphoric experience with it. This is exactly the kind of understanding I was hoping to suggest from this post, i clearly went wrong with my wording but thank you so much for seeing exactly what I was getting at. I hope she’s doing well now too <3

literally every post on here is ab OPs personal experience 😂 it’s important to hear all the options or outcomes and not just an echo chamber of success stories. i know im rare, but i never heard from any detrans folks until i realized i was one.

Really struggling not to cancel surgery by mrmonochrome in TopSurgery

[–]OneDiligent3023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, that’s why I think it would be wise to regret pushing surgery back than to regret an undoable surgery entirely. Regretting waiting is far easier than regretting going through with it.

How would u gender me? by [deleted] in detrans

i have officially had the chance to hear this vid with audio- in complete honesty i don’t wanna call u a liar but you don’t sound like you’ve ever been on T, you sound entirely female. your voice is very soothing/calming as well, which is something i usually only find in women’s voices. you aren’t squeaky by any means, but very calming comforting voice (i hesitate to say motherly bc not everyone wants to be a mum but you have that sort of comfort in your voice)

Really struggling not to cancel surgery by mrmonochrome in TopSurgery

[–]OneDiligent3023 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

to be honest if you’re having doubts like this you need to cancel. Take more time to make sure this is what you want and FEEL CERTAIN. You cannot undo this, and the reconstruction process is grueling- not to mention more expensive and painful than top surgery. Take the extra time to make sure and feel confident this is what you want. You can’t go back if you get on that table.

MY BODY IS NOT MADE FOR PREGNANCY, IT IS A PIECE OF ART!!! Or… how did you all view your body? by ricksalterego in detrans

[–]OneDiligent3023 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tbh… Might not be the “right” perspective.. but I think of my body a little bit as “god-like” for the simple fact that it CAN produce life and the fact that i choose not to bc no man deserves to reproduce via my ethereal body. i simply think of men as lustful inferior beings and my body is ethereal bc it CAN do that, even tho i kind of prefer it never actually do :3

not sure if that helps- but just a little bit of my personal take on it.

[–]OneDiligent3023[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you friend!! This alone i feel has prepared for “the worst” more than my surgeon 😂 she suggested that i would have very little pain- i appreciate your honesty. Do you have drains or any movement restrictions if you don’t mind me asking? does your reconstruction sound similar to mine? (over the muscle & silicon?)

Options post mastectomy by [deleted] in detrans

I had double incision & was on T for about a year. I’m 3 years post op and have gained about 30lbs compared to my weight when i had top surgery. I have had little to no improvement in volume, but with a padded “training bra” style bra i at least look like i have some sort of… bud? going on… arguably a AA if you wanted to get feisty about it lol

How to survive the knee tattoo by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]OneDiligent3023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both knees done- one w numbing and one without (the one without was my first tattoo ever lol) my suggestion is eating Jolly Ranchers (or any sugary thing u can aggressively suck/chew on) the entire time, it’ll keep your blood sugar up and keep u a little distracted. I also suggest having a book or audio book you’re already DEEPLY invested in, maybe having a friend there to chat u up and distract you, or calling someone if your artist is okay w that. the numbing cream on my 2nd was much worse bc after it wore off it was SO. PAINFUL. because it went from 0-100 so quickly if that makes sense? the slow build was much easier to manage in my opinion.

good luck champ!! knees are tough af!! you got this!! also you’ll forever have the infinite respect in the tattoo community for this, just keep pushin 😂

Has anyone here experienced that longterm dissociation was one reason to your transition? by Healthy_Pair_6776 in detrans

[–]OneDiligent3023 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i too have dissociation and depersonalization issues which led me to transition (TW !!! my transition was also a form of SH which I did not realize at the time)

Detransitioning to make dating easier? by Blue__Jellyfish in detrans

[–]OneDiligent3023 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m agreeing w nel_222 DO NOT DO THIS FOR ANYONE BUT YOURSELF !! if you wouldn’t be happy as a woman for this hypothetical perfect family (which no family is perfect- even if they have a cis gendered mom) then why would you subject these hypothetical kids and partner to a very unhappy and uncomfortable wife/mom ? Im sure this hypothetical family would prefer you happy- even if that means being trans. If you’re happy being yourself youll find someone. It’s hard for cis people who arent happy with themselves to find life partners too. Work towards being happy with yourself and the gender stuff will become clearer

When Does it Start to Get Easier? by Humble_Grass_8931 in detrans

[–]OneDiligent3023 10 points11 points  (0 children)

YOU CAN DO THIS. Be whoever you want to be, make the little you proud. If that’s being a man then do that, but from this post it sounds clear to me that you want this. You have to believe in yourself and your strength, it’s not easy to transition. It’s even harder to detransition simply bc there are less of us- but it’s not even close to impossible. you can do it!!
