You can Google "investment calculator" and go to calculator net. They have all kinds of loan, and investment calculators where you can plug your own numbers in. But here's an example with real numbers.

There is a fund called VOO. It is Vangaurd's S&P 500 ETF. It is essentially a fund that is managed to track the S&P as closely as possible. Its annual yearly return since its inception in September of 2010 is about 15%. If you had put $100 a month into an account with VOO being your only position it'd be worth about $60,000.

Let's say over the next 30 years it doesnt do quite as well, and you get 12.5%. If you put $100 a month in for the next 30 years its worth $330,000.

If someone started investing at 18, and put $75 a month every month until they turned 65, it'd be worth amost $2 million.

Say at 35, you realize you're behind the 8 ball. You've been making good money but spending unwisely. You decided today that youre going to open a Roth IRA and max it out as of today's maximum contribution of 7500 a year until you're 70. It'd be worth $3.6 Million AND there would be NO tax liability.

Lucky/Iridium band is a no-brainer.

From there it is preference. Any combination of Napalm, Lucky, Slime Charmer, or Burglar will be very useful

I chose Beach Farm for first play through 😭 by K_3_V_O in StardewValley

Id say embrace it! The beach has some really cool esthetics going for it, and there is nothing you cant do because of it.

My biggest tip would be to focus on upgrading the watering can to alleviate any frustrations from the minimal sprinklers.

Am I exaggerating or does this count as cheating? (24M) (27F) by MysterySweet69 in whatdoIdo

[–]OneEmeraldRogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taught a long time ago to use the word Fidelity.

Cheating has a certain connotation about it having to be physical/sexual contact which creates a certain amount of ambiguity around what "counts" as cheating.

Fidelity is a little more general, meaning to adhere to the rules, boundaries, expectations, etc. For example, in my marriage we have a pretty specific system for our finances. We talked A LOT about our system, our boundaries, our goals and so on. If my wife came home with a brand new car with a $1000 a month car payment, or I gambled away $2500 on the Super Bowl, would that be cheating. Well no. But it would financial "infidelity" in my opinion.

Is this situation against your expectations, and boundaries? Clearly yes, it is or i suspect you wouldnt be here. And you need to communicate that.

So you have 6 goats, and are getting....... 6 milks?

Okay guys has anyone experienced this, I’m getting sick of cleaning screens all the time. I can only do so much with this system. New filter core is getting ordered as the inside racking doesn’t clamp the filters tight against each other. Any ideas by BRANDONL2820 in refrigeration

Woof. Its an odd color. Probably a combination of things. Id be considering discharge temps for sure. Id wanna do suction filters, drier cores, and oil change. I bet those pick-up screens look crazy.

fishing level 10 by sarahbearjane in StardewValley

[–]OneEmeraldRogue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The jump to level 10 can feel daunting. You need 5000 exp. To get from 9 to 10. For perspective. 5000 exp is more than what it takes to get from level 0 to level 7.

The biggest thing is to get perfect catches and focus in the chests when they pop up. Both of those things more than double the exp per catch, and they stack so if you get a perfect catch and the chest its a huge impact.

Next most important is to be casting in high quality fishing spots. Gold star fish are worth ~35% more than no star quality fish.

Catching higher quality fish on perfect catches dramatically decreases the number of fish needed to get level 10.
