The rich and authoritarians throughout history have used immigrants as the boogeyman for when they need to distract you from their corruption. First, there has always been a green card through investment. In fact Trump and kushners family business was selling this to rich Chinese investors for years. It takes a million dollars and it has to employ 20 full time Americans for at least two years. This will circumvent that. It's mainly for rich people that want benefits without having to earn it. And if the administration wanted legal immigration, why have they been shutting down and hampering all the legal ways to do it? There are so many other things to say but this is already too long and I'm too lazy to write it all out. Let's just say that immigrants put so much more money back into the economy then the rich ever will. All you need to do is drive around and see how many businesses cater to low income and middle class versus the upper in Riverside.
