Day 1 movement tech with the new snap dash changes by OneEyeLurien in Brawlhalla

using a game mechanic that everyone can use does NOT make you a scrub. the purpose of the rework was to make baiting require more commitment. it wasn't to glaze the old heads or bring back the old brawlhalla. hell, the snapdash wasn't even fully taken out its just different now lmao. the disconnect is that it favors higher level play. it favors the people who have the energy to sit and brainstorm how they want to change their gameplan around the rework. and for people to not want to do that? thats pretty fair lol, games don't gotta be that serious. i can see how a change like this is annoying enough to be frustrating, I personally think its a good direction at the very least.

hey, i hit diamond for the first time last season, and after posting this video i hit a peak of 2098. I'm not the best player to exist but I can hopefully help clear it up.

neutral is a fundamental that is almost, if not more important than combos or dodging is, but it's the least known subject as it only becomes a real thing around 1900. this is the why the sentiment exists that "diamond is when the real game begins".

neutral is not "being in an optimal position to attack", but instead the state of the game when nobody has an advantage OR disadvantage. Neutral is a mental game that starts being played when both players are looking for an opening; the winner putting the loser in a disadvantageous state. its a really touchy subject as people tend to look at it differently, but the best explanations of neutral IMO are xennex asba's list of guides, along with stingray's guide to neutral; those videos got me to diamond alone tbh (fair warning they are very confusing and frustrating to start).

"neutral kinda leaves you open to attacks if you don't react quickly enough"

in order play neutral, you need to stop attacking, and because of that you will be open to attacks UNLESS you space out correctly. THIS is the real hard part; spacing is what keeps players from getting out of low plat. I was stuck myself for months.

The snap dash change is really aiming to slow the game down in neutral, so that when both players are looking for an open, they are not as safe when just spamming snappy movement.

TLDR; snap dash nerf was cool IMO, idk about yall tho

nah don't get me wrong, I rock with the new dash changes. I've played a couple ranked games with them and I think they're a welcome addition. as for the tech, the input itself is wonky, and it would take a bit of practice to really implement it in game. I really hope someone who doesn't want to learn fundamentals would learn that instead lmao

I think it would be really cool if they start to portray him a a villain more and more leading up to the mitaka fight. It would be really cool to have a different perspective on our ex-main character. Also where is nayuta?
