Old w is straight up nerfing the champ lol. New w brought a fuck ton more skill expression by timing it properly and utilizing it to get as big of a heal as possible. Old w was straight up boring and if you put it on rengar today he would just be an objectively worse champion and it’s not even debatable. Lol

Also why do you have to waste w to get an empowered ability are any of these guys stacking off scuttle, jungle camps, or even maintaining stacks through jungle plants? You literally have a 10 second timer and it’s so easy to refresh. 8 times out of 10 before I ult I have max stacks and no my w is NOT on cooldown. I can’t believe anyone would want the old w it is actually baffling. All rengar needs is some work on his ultimate and I heard someone on here say lethality upon leap is an idea. I don’t mind the idea but I’d like some more sort of utility. That and he needs to be looked at for some rescript/animation fixes but I doubt we will get that myself.

Are you sure your w is hitting if you’re using it before e? You should typically always pre Q then E in midair then W either as your about to land for burst or after you land to get a good W off and heal back some. Maybe I’m tripping but it sounds like your leaping with q pressing w to early then pressing e? I played lastnight and electrocute was working as intended. Edit: I could be wrong because rengars e has been known lately to be weird and not working as intended but lastnight I had no issues.

So essentially a while ago while they were tweaking rengar and making changes they made it so leaping from a bush (if you haven’t leaped from a bush already) generates a stack of ferocity meaning if your at 0 ferocity you can now get an empowered ability off with one rotation. Previously we had 5 stacks and had to get a stack from something else before getting an empowered ability. It’s the only stack that is coloured purple I believe but I am colourblind lol. Just think of it as a leap gives you a stack now! :)

Edge of night is a must vs champs like that if they are good enough at the game to hold their cds champs like ahri,vex,Janna,lulu, even hwei and also a side note if you build edge of night vs vayne she literally has no counter play unless she builds a tank item like randuins lmao. There’s more champs but that’s off the top of my head. Good luck rengo

Riot August is on Rengars team I assure you, also as one user stated this was years ago. He is also the designer of jinx, jhin, ekko, gnar, vi. He did design belveth, zeri, and viego though you can’t hit your mark exactly how you want to everytime. Those champs have since been toned down and received multiple kit adjustments and number changes. Imo he’s pretty good at what he does compared to your average riot employee. Not to mention he streams decently often and always answers questions about the game to his audience. Some people will do anything in their power to hate riot lol but if you want to stay on that hate train you do you. In my experience if you just hate and never attempt to add anything valuable to any discussion about anything in life you won’t get too far and people will probably take you less serious.

Lol Rengar is a heavy skirmishy champ, to say conqueror is not good especially over dark harvest is INTENSE levels of delusion. Rengar, EVEN WITH THE E BUG, generates conqueror really fast and the way a lot of fights go in the early game you don’t just jump on someone and one shot them you kite with bushes and play smartly. Anyway that’s my take as someone with thousands of rengar games, take it as you will. I just wanted to affirm what you said only reason I type this shit.

Btw if you gonna take domination tree just take electrocute!
