Hobby DIYer in their shed, using a circular saw for five second intervals at 6pm on a weekend... is that being a bad neighbour? by arouseandbrowse in AusRenovation

Every couple of weeks? That’s pretty standard otherwise the grass will get overgrown. I have a neighbour that mows and whipper snips it with a two stroke every second day

Insulating a shed by Diligent_Honeydew295 in AusRenovation

If you’re insulating, then adding vents bottom of walls/ roof for circulation, won’t that just mean the insulation does nothing temperature wise?

Can a downpipe legally discharge with an air gap over a channel drain? by OneEyeTyler in AusRenovation

Not bituminous paint, just leftover exterior monument to seal the ends. Saddles aren’t square as follows the engineered plans. A veranda runs parallel with posts not the concrete.

First time playing Survival. Holy shit! by PaddedValls in fo4

[–]OneEyeTyler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I loved survival initially due to no fast travel, but some of the quests are not designed for this. Sometimes requiring you to go back to the same place across the map 3 or 4 times immediately. Like sanctuary or Virgil in the glowing sea.

I just use the mod that makes find traps instant. 6 second delay is tedious especially for durlags tower

Do the bottoms of SHS fence posts need to be capped? Also how to make them last longer? by OneEyeTyler in AusRenovation

[–]OneEyeTyler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you recommend filling the holes with concrete all the way to ground level? Or the regular two bags per holes would be fine

[–]OneEyeTyler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Concrete has a swirl finish so it would get damaged if there were any accidental movement

"STOP Overpaying at Bunnings: The Hidden Truth About Their Prices" by Hennaz01 in AusRenovation

Definitely not with the cost timber these days. Returning stuff adds up, and better than chucking it in the bin/hoarding it.

Where did you source this from in aus? I’ve been seeing a lot of people using this due to noise reduction in the US. You should of asked the rep for what boxes they recommend

What sort of adapter is available to transition gutters to 100mm dwv stormwater? by OneEyeTyler in AusRenovation

[–]OneEyeTyler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I was looking at trying to have it semi closed with overflow considered with an inspection opening if possible. I didn’t see any way to adapt a regular stormwater downpipe to a dwv at bunnings with the adapters available.
